Let me tell you how hard up I am to get vaccinated, right now have a standing appointment in Lima Ohio to get vaccinated on Saturday. If I find something closer I will take it but at this point I am willing to drive 150 miles one way to get the shot and be done with it.
People may be gross as **** where you live but those of us in SEMI shower and have cleanliness. Thanks for reminding us how grimy the northern Michigan people are.
I wouldn't mind getting some precip for soil moisture and even a couple inches of snow to hit average. Its march it would be gone in a couple days anyways
I get that aspect of it, but how do you handle the situations I presented? 5" of snow in 24 hours is impactful here but not warning criteria, and unless warning criteria gets lowered having no advisory makes things more difficult.
Just because they don't work 100% doesn't mean they don't work for the most part. California is a special case because there is a lot of entitled people who think they are invincible out there.
I have lost about half of what you have and I have a long way to go myself still but you are correct, it is what only some have the ability to do right now. This assumption that people pop out of bed one day and can start a massive lifestyle change is a bit of leap.
Unless there is a change to warnings coming, I don't like this. What about fog, urban and small stream flooding, what about a 5" snowfall, these are all things needing to advise people on.
^not sure if this is a serious account...
That being said the majority of people would rather the mandates last one more month so we can get the vaccinations out there to those who need them, ending the mandate now just adds unnecessary risk.
This is reason why you keep the mandate in place, it is absolutely no coincidence why Texas and all these other states are lifting restrictions right now, and spring break last year was a massive catalyst for spread in this country.
