    Picked up 0.61” out of that line and the storm just before it.

    Anyone in the path of this line get ready. That was intense. Wall of water just opened up for about 5 min.

    Warning just got dropped on the storm that went through here. Very heavy downpour. Wind has picked up now.

    I usually do not post in the banter thread anymore. But my anxiety is up this morning. Mr. J has been on a Corvette run with his dad this week. They are currently in Bowling Green KY. The weather there later today is showing he will be in the Moderate risk area for storms with strong tornadoes possible. I told him I would be watching all day to help them be safe. I just recently took the Advanced SKYWARN training on Radar and feel a bit more comfortable when viewing it. But in the back of my head I would rather he and his dad not be there.

    Wow just did some weeding in the garden. The humidity is yuck. 73 temp 68.9 dew point and humidity of 86.

    The humidity is yuck tonight. Went out to put the umbrella down on the deck table. As I was tying it up I could feel that it was damp. Mind you it was up all day so any moisture from the rains would have dried out. The deck surface also felt damp after being dry all day.

    Had a small amount overnight. Event total is 2.40”. I know it is not everywhere, but the sun is out and there are patches of blue sky which is exciting the birds to start their songs again.

    My event is now up to 2.36”. Just had a small batch of moderate rain come through.

    Frederick Scanner reporting a water rescue in Walkersville at Devilbiss Bridge Rd./ Monocacy River. Apparently someone put in a kayak and it was found without the Kayaker. Also mountain rescue on Appalachian Trail at Annapolis Rock. FrederickScanner.com

    I live just up Ballenger Creek Pike from Point of Rocks. I am sure I will be crossing at the 15 bridge in the next day or so. The USGS station is right there on the bridge. Have seen them recording measurements in the past. For the event I ended up with 2.08"

    Was going to take some trash out to the curb as pick up is tomorrow and I put the can out already. Opened the garage and saw it was pouring again. The garage itself feels like a wet sauna. Decided that it can wait till tomorrow morning. The cell over me seems to keep back building so thinking will get close to the 2” mark soon. Backyard station currently showing 1.89"

    Looking at radar the areas to my west out between Brunswick and Jefferson that had flash flooding last week look to be getting dumped on again. I forget who is out there in Brunswick but maybe he will see this.

    Just went out on the deck to check my potted plants for standing water. Have slightly sheltered them so doing good. Ballenger Creek runs right behind my house behind the tree line. I can hear it running. Normally you never would know it is back there. Other than that nice vertical rain which allows me to have some windows open to enjoy the sounds. 0.66” currently.

    Just got back from dropping off the oldest for a 6 am set call time in downtown Frederick. Steady rain although looking at radar some heavier stuff looks to be headed up this way. 0.37” currently

    We got a cap system installed to help with backing up to a tree line. Although over the years I really think we should have gotten larger gutters than what the builder put on. In very heavy rains we still get run over due to the size of the gutter being too small. So I am going to pull my flower boxes out onto the deck so the dirt does not get pushed out of them.

    I did not know how much I have missed these regular garden variety thunderstorms. Have a nice storm coming through right now. Nice low rolling claps with a steady rain.

    Nice to see the comparison. After that last storm that went through about 20 min ago my daily is up to 0.49”

    Event is 1.66” Day currently at .34” Month is currently 2.84" Had to run my oldest to a film set this morning and there was some low lying fog/mist in the neighborhood.

    Yeah I saw that. Told my kid that it would slip to the N. Just got put under a warning for it by a sliver.
