  1. Heavy here too but some of our eastern friends are not so lucky so did not want to boast much. 4.5" now.
  2. Even they say the warm layer is too shallow for a lot of sleet....yet.
  3. I think he was talking from MR/the last week...plus for their area so may be some different thoughts in relation to that as well.
  4. Like you said, HRRR shows snow here later but it initialized very poorly as to precip types. Shows all snow way to our south at 2PM. Back to sn+ here. Rain only lasted during a lull in rates.
  5. Terp (MA) just made his model call....all did very poorly but the Euro did the least poorly. LOL.
  6. We went so long without someone saying it.
  7. No sleet here yet but the snow is more noisy....the flakes probably melted a bit on the way down and refroze.
  8. This area is showing some circulation which will not help one bit regardless of where the Surface Low is located. Appears to the 500ULL.
  9. It is when looking at models but we can try too Nowcast it some.
  10. Need the low scoot/transfer east as soon as it can and pivot...pivot.
  11. I am on the M/D line myself. I can hit a softball into MD.
  12. I just took measurements and it ranged between 2 3/4" and 3". Sn+
  13. The HRRR has the area circled area in Western NC transferring over to the circled area off the NC coast within the next hour or so.
  14. My changeover scenario did not work out too well. I truly thought people would lose 850 and 925 along with above and sleet would be limited. Maybe it will not be that much.
  15. Some areas (hopefully SE of our board) in SE PA could get quite a lot of rain this afternoon and evening. Not surprised to see some get over 1" with the low deepening a bit.
  16. I think it does change for almost all of us at some point as the HRRR has mix to Scranton now. Just not this early.
  17. That is surprising that 1) You have sleet and not rain 2) This 850 map....it is below freezing at 700 as well. You can see the 925's trying to push up through 2/3 of PA that is advection not temps.) ]\]\
  18. That will be the time to do a shovel. I have looking forward to the workout. Many have heard this before, but I have a 1/8th of a mile driveway and I shove.
  19. These folks are halfway toward Goldsboro. He sent me a picture and the roads have no snow and the grass is not close to being covered. More like the lanco people are reporting.
  20. Family in Etters said they have less than 1/2 inch.....snow mostly melting there right now.
