  1. I agree that if they go final at 2", that is too low. I do not think they got 5-6" though as my family in Etters only ended up between 3-4". They had a ton of mixing.
  2. 2.5 hours to shovel 1/8" of a mile. The good was that the snow stuck to my shovel, bad it was super heavy. By the end it felt like this as we are coming up on 1/3" of rain on top of almost 6" of snow.
  3. We have had a quarter inch of rain since it changed. Shovelling is brutal. Rgem had the right idea on Qpf but it's thermals blew (when it was showing 1-2 feet)
  4. It is raining and sleeting up into Mt Holly now so may be close.
  5. It is pouring rain here. Rn+. 30 degrees. Measurements are done. 5.8"
  6. Temps could breach 60 as well...not to add to the bad but a not normal winter day.
  7. I made a quick measurement, and we got over 1" in the last 30 min. 5.75 now and with compaction to boot.
  8. Mixing out here right now. Lot of rain in with the snow.
  9. I am waiting it out. Do not think we see much rain here but the snow is so hard right now it would end up soaking me down to shovel.
  10. HRRR has mixing way up there in a couple hours so may be dicey. Further East, the worst the mixing on the HRRR.
  11. If you get snow for that line coming, and it hangs together, it could easily drop 4-6". I suspect we will see some MU reports over 10" somewhere in or near the LSV.
  12. It is really snowing hard. It is not loud here now but was before when it switched to rain for a bit for the second time. A week ago, it appeared this snow would not be STARTING until 7PM now it will be ending around that time over here. Not ideal for those with temp issues but at least we got to see it in daylight.
  13. Lots of models have been hammering home that mix line getting way north on the Eastern flank this afternoon.
  14. The real heavy line about to pass the M/D line into PA. The big finale. Hopefully it changes all to snow.
  15. Heavy here too but some of our eastern friends are not so lucky so did not want to boast much. 4.5" now.
  16. Even they say the warm layer is too shallow for a lot of sleet....yet.
  17. I think he was talking from MR/the last week...plus for their area so may be some different thoughts in relation to that as well.
  18. Like you said, HRRR shows snow here later but it initialized very poorly as to precip types. Shows all snow way to our south at 2PM. Back to sn+ here. Rain only lasted during a lull in rates.
  19. Terp (MA) just made his model call....all did very poorly but the Euro did the least poorly. LOL.
  20. We went so long without someone saying it.
  21. No sleet here yet but the snow is more noisy....the flakes probably melted a bit on the way down and refroze.
