  1. My wife wants some new knobs for our drawers, and they have what she wants so we are going to different Hobby Lobby's getting all of their stock. I checked the temp while moving but you are right if sitting still it raises. It was 81 in Emmittsburg when we passed through so today heated up to the south and west. 75 back in Rou, HGR made 78 and THV 77. WU has Hanover 76-78 right now. If tomorrow overachieves we could see some mid 80's over here.
  2. I am over by hobby lobby now and car therm 76. Defintely not low 70's though car therms are car therms. Not exact.
  3. Eb nooners. 74 (but windy) at long arm reservoir in Adams county. Upper 70's seems possiblem
  4. Colder coming back next week but "Old Man Summer" is ruling the roost this weekend. Most LSV Sunday zones range between 77-80. Yuck.
  5. 52 this AM. Do we see some 80's the next 2 days. Definitely a good chance tomorrow depending on clouds. The MDT record tomorrow of 85 seems to be a stretch to make. On this date it snowed .1" in 1930.
  6. Nooners. Sunny and 62 at Red Robin in Mechanicsburg. 55 back at Rou.
  7. It never got below 67 in the house. New Insulation at work I guess. A little frost on some roofs here but still just 37.
  8. Those people could be yelling Itstrainingtime! or You are going Backwards, who knows. But seriously, the thing that is cool about that bridge is how different it looks day vs. night. They have quite the light display on it.
  9. If that happened, the Tampa area would lose Billions in Red Sox/Yankees tourism.
  10. It flows from South to North. The St John's. There are others but that is one of the more famous ones
  11. NO D0's down there except a snip of the panhandle. All I see is the river that flows backwards.
  12. Yea, property taxes are a big difference per municipality but here in PA my combined total is under 3K for taxes and insurance while in Florida, the former Ocala House, it is over 7K now. I have a larger house here. No beach within 1.5 hours though. 7K a year is close to a healthy $600 a month.
  13. 54 and almost 100% Sunny near noon. Good shot for my first day of the season with no AC running.
  14. My current insurance for a replacement value of ~ 500K is ~ $500 a year (not in Florida.) That large difference and the rapid increases from 15 years ago are probably the issues most have whether insurance is 2K, 3K or 4K. Between taxes and insurance, the penalty for living in Florida is having a "mortgage" in perpetuality even when the note is paid off.
  15. Yea, that is extremely cheap for Florida. I moved from there in 2018 and was paying almost that for a 2100 Sq foot house south of Ocala and prices have doubled since then in that area. I have seen cheaper prices for homes built since 2020.
  16. People in Ocala with as new homes, 2000-2010 types, are paying twice that per year. I do not know anyone there paying less than 4K for a standard 1800 Sq foot house. Some of the issue is home values as many of their homes are 300-400K (not that much but double what they were 10 years ago)
  17. On ground report from a friend in Daytona. Got about 4 feet of surge back 1.5 blocks from the coast. Flooded bottom floor/basement like area and killed their electric as it got into their circuit box. Also lost shingles from the wind.
  18. Here is something we are really good at and do not need warmups up here0 and more tropical mischief down there.
  19. The surge was south of them thank goodness. Still waiting to hear how bad it was. I know Sanibel got hit badly.
