  1. I bet Stars Wars fans are not happy that Captain Kirk has a town named after him.
  2. Rgem still casting shade at chances of putting the potted plants back out until Sunday. Lows below freezing for much of the LSV the next 2 mornings. I more trust the RGEM with its spring radiational predicts so this will be a bit of a test in that most other mesos are 5-10 higher. Rgem correctly predicted most of MDT and south would get no where near freezing last night.
  3. @Mount Joy Snowman they almost made it, good call. this may be the lowest it goes for the month. Their low today is is only 2 below average and I suspect their high may come close to or equate that in the An range. Unfortunately the temps over the next week are probably going to slap the snot out of the averages.
  4. 39 this AM. MDT got stuck at 44 or 45. (Actually made 43 just after midnight)
  5. Might want to add an 80 for a day or two? We shall see.
  6. My Maples are 90% on the ground now. The wind this week pushed it over the threshold.
  7. Up to 62 here. First time this week we are above 53 since Monday AM. Going to chop up some leaves this afternoon.
  8. I did not realize it, but the NWS makes official calls on the growing season question. Here are the counties where the growing season has ended as of this Am. It does not always apply to everyone in the county, case in point here in Far Southern Franklin where the lowest we have had is 34. Growing season does not end for me until it gets to 28. Some places go by first and last frost and others use 28 as the divider.
  9. TCC is on the Curious Case of the BWI Cold. I agree, there have been some dubious readings there. Good catch showing the sensor showing it dropped 2 degrees below the hourly DP though the 5 min reading DP does show it matching the temp.
  10. Consistency is the word of the week with that. Another 60's days for CXY seems on tap...maybe even MDT this time?
  11. That is their record max low for the day. Record min high is 45.
  12. In the MA board I saw a post using THV's number as validation for BWI. That is world ending stuff right there! Also... https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/16/climate/global-water-cycle-off-balance-food-production/index.html
  13. I was wondering if you would notice that both 01's made the list right beside each other! So, what did they do at BWI to turn into the new THV?
  14. Interesting stat to look up for MDT. Left chart is Met fall, and right chart is Oct.
  15. Some Meso's have your guys best shot at another freeze Sat or Sunday AM. Warm days and cold nights. The king of radiational (Rgem) cooling suggests some in Lanco see 20's/30ish Sunday AM.
  16. PS-growing season not over in Maytown I guess? We expect another 2-3 weeks of veggies here.
  17. Frankly I am surprised we do not all have it at this point (south.)
  18. Sorry, I meant the NWS stations. I saw LNS had 3, etc. I know you and MJS had a string of 40's to start the week.
  19. I believe it. Most of the Southern LSV has been so dry, I am surprised we are not all back under D1.
  20. D1 flanking the Marysville 105th Hose division by bringing drought into Lanco from the East this time. LOL.
  21. Hello Nov as the GFS continues to advertise a cold start to the next month. That will be an end to the growing season everywhere except MDT.
  22. All right except I went gas with the mower :-). LOL. I got a last year of production for home use Honda.
