  1. At or near 5:50, CXY and MUI are in the 80's (or just below)...MDT is in the 60's.
  2. Queue the stories about wearing plastic masks and sweat running down our faces! His insistence that the growing season has ended for most is a little off for him. Basically saying NWS and everyone else is wrong.
  3. Agreed on WU not being official. In this case though no other area was showing a preponderance of 85-90 temps which was why I pointed it out. Whether they were exactly right or not, it was definitely warmer around Lanco today. I doubt the 90 readings. It is just as possible the 82's and 83's were recording too low. The weather station at MU got to 84 so any temps 82-87 could be legit IMO.
  4. Usually I would wonder but with Maytown getting 85 as well I question how there can be that many off.
  5. Lanco seems to be the epicenter today with a 90 and several upper 80's WU readings.
  6. That is also a crazy long drive for Tampa residents due to the daily terrible traffic.
  7. Tampa Rays may play in Sarasota next year and possibly for several years.
  8. I wish the 70's and 80's would pack their bags for the year. Someone said the 80's are over back in early Sept and mother nature has slapped 80's on some spots 5-6 times since then. LOL. A curse. You mentioned frost, some progs have the growing season ending (or close) this weekend into early next week with lows in the upper 20's. 60's for highs on Sat and Sun would be perfect.
  9. Chance of 80's next week unfortunately. But some nice chilly weather late this week!
  10. MUI at 81 for nooners. Running 5 over yesterday at this time. If all things were equal they would get 90 but not sure I would bet on that.
  11. Eb nooners..just 65 here but MUI should be the in 80's by now. MDT was 71 or 72.
  12. The warmest recorded temps for the second half of Oct. Understanding that the locations changed for MDT. CXY goes back to 1939 and MDT 1888. Also, with a high of 85 and low of 37, the difference of 48 degrees at MUI yesterday was the highest I remember seeing. May be bad memory though. CXY:87 in 2016 MDT: 86 in 1947
  13. Wonder if CTP will have to consider Heat Advisories for those at Ft Indiantown Gap tomorrow afternoon. LOL. Though their HI is actually lower than temp right now at 83/19 for an HI of 80.
  14. Not sure what is going on up in the hills but they are probably at 82-83 right now. They were at 81 on the last hourly check.
  15. Anyone have a source for greatest diurnal variation in Harrisburg history? ChatGPT says that MUI just beat Harrisburg's record but I am assuming AI is off on this one. I could not manipulate any of the sites I know of to give me the info. Have not seen @Jns2183 in a while, hopefully he is ok. Only 63 here at noon. Mid 70's in parts of the central LSV.
  16. MUI is going off the charts with their numbers sporting a 47 degree range yesterday from a low of 33 to a high of 80. They are already in the 70's today. The 47 number is impressive considering it was not bound by any major frontal passages. THV has already gone from 35 to 70 over a 3-4 hour period.
  17. Only if ITT were a real airport. Apologies for misunderstanding.
  18. Wow, so there really was a crash at the Parachute airport.
  19. I was too but assumed it was a joke though ITT does have an airport near by where people parachute.
