  1. "Official" noon run down THV 79 AOO 79 CXY 74/75 LNS 73/74 HGR 73 MUI 73 MDT 69/70 ROU 69 IPT 62/63
  2. CXY jumped to 70 mid morning but has only gone up 3 since then slowing down when their wind took on an Easterly component which is surprising.
  3. Me thinks he just gave up that his insider info comes from direct messages originating in Marysville.
  4. MDT sitting at 66/67 4-10 behind all the other stations but only 67 at rou.
  5. Unfortunate for us, fortunate for them if they want rain that they are on the outer edge of a ring of fire. It all gets diverted around us for at least another week. :-(
  6. Yea, I guess the lower sun angle plays a role in less drying of the ground/under water supply.
  7. Northeast Drought Summary Temperatures were near to slightly above normal for the week in the region with only minimal precipitation recorded over portions of northeast New York and northern areas of Vermont and New Hampshire. Abnormally dry conditions expanded over New York, northern Vermont and New Hampshire and into southwest Maine as well as in southern Connecticut. Moderate drought expanded over southern New York and Long Island and across more of northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Severe drought expanded to include all of southern New Jersey and Delaware, and a new area of severe drought emerged in Massachusetts. Severe drought also expanded in southwest Pennsylvania. Moderate drought expanded in northern Virginia and eastern Maryland, while abnormally dry conditions emerged in most of the rest of Virginia.
  8. HGR led the way today with 80 as to near to LSV NWS stations. MUI, AOO and THV tied for second at 79 while LNS and CXY came in just behind with 78. Maytown Parachute came in at 79.2. As a bonus, DUJ bagged a 76. I believe the AOO temp is a record for the day.
  9. Just talked to a yard guy that was working at a neighbors. He said mowing is full on until Nov 20th when you go down into Waynesboro. Grass here went dormant weeks ago.
  10. Plenty of 80's in the Southern LSV but not not going to do it for MDT today. It is 80 here right now.
  11. I agree (though they are matching THV right now) but how long will it go on? Not sure where the sensor is, if near the tarmac then it is low elevation. It feels like it has been a month now. With this said, several times it has been high I found WU's not TOO far off near by so hard to be sure. I see 76-78's on WU right now.
  12. 77 here. No records going to be set today regardless of how many of us may reach 81....unless MDT catches up. They are at least 5 lower than every other NWS station.
  13. THV leading the way right now at 78,79, or 80. MDT still in the 60's...LOL.
  14. MDT only at 65. I worry about them for any records. MUI making its run for 80 this hour.
  15. 46 here this AM. Mesos's have the highs for today and tomorrow within 1-2 degrees of each other in the upper 70's and low 80's so both days record of 81 are on watch though MDT continues to run slightly behind other NWS stations on average. Highest stations I saw yesterday were MUI with 71 and CXY with 69. Most others near the LSV were at 67 which was exactly what the zones called for. Globals continue to advertise more 80's next week.
  16. You have 2-3 days in a row with highs in the 70's and 80's. Cherish! LOL.
  17. Although it was a real temp, I let that one sit out there. LOL
  18. We have been stuck at 69 now for a good 90 min so peaking....several WU 70's over here so may get one more degree out of it. MUI is up to 71 or 72.
