  1. Speaking of D0, MDT has only received a little under 1/2" of precip since USGS painted their last map. That does not bode well for a removal. It is 1/2 of what normal would be.
  2. Desantis already declared that he expects Clearwater to come out if this with a yearly surplus of precip.
  3. Yea, the GFS has a small/weak tropical storm for several days then it leveled down into a flooding 1–2-foot rain situation before starting to ramp back up the last 3-4 days. Not going to state what might happen until we get to later Tuesday indeed lots of bad possibilities right now.
  4. And it was not even modeled 3-4 days ago. Though the potential has been there for a week or more.
  5. Dallas had 1st and Goal on the 1/2-yard and bumbled 3 plays leading to that 4th down from the 4 play.
  6. Fearful of the surge. If TPA gets a 12+ foot surge it will be flooded way inland.
  7. I stayed up....sooo tired. Thanks. It was a sloppy ending that went Dallas way. Not sure if you saw the final few plays on the Dallas drive but they fumbled at the one and Dak fell on it as part of the clutch ending.
  8. @Blizzard of 93 how much above normal did MDT end up with their Sept precip totals? How about LNS?
  9. The average rain during that period for the LSV would have been about 1.5" so some areas were actually BN or near normal during that period. Was good for the grass though.
  10. I understand the angst. Rain 10 days or so in a row and USGS slaps a drought designation on Marysville. It is as of Tue at 8am but not a ton of rain since then.
  11. I think Blizz wants us to remind him every week or two.
  12. The year surplus Is the worst way to measure drought conditions. It is all about what have you done for me lately.
  13. We had less than 1.5" over 10 days here and it is dry now. Twice a day flower/plant watering. Hope the grass still growing gets rain tonight. 1.5" in 10 days is just normal for Sept. People who sell here should have to put a drought statement in their real estate disclosures. We are one week into Oct and have had less that 28" for the year. Crazy
  14. I hope so otherwise it is back to the watering game.
  15. I give you a bow for using the word mustered. Very nice!
  16. 77 for the high today. If we were 7-8 an in the summer everyone would be melting. It is 75 at 5PM. Where did fall go?
  17. This pic is what my roof installer (just had roof put on Sept 2023) said was not a good idea for 2 reasons. 1) The roof manufacturer can claim it was not installed correctly whether it was or not. I would have loved to get this done as my AC unit is in the attic so this would have sealed off that space and made it easier on the air going through the ducts. 2) When you go to sell a home, many inspectors will fail you for this as they cannot see the rafters and assesses the inside of the roof. Sounds like you are way ahead of me on some stuff in sealing the area around the wall. We had the ceiling gaps sealed too before the blow in. Also, check out this article from England: https://www.leadingpropertylawyers.co.uk/spray-foam-insulation-continues-to-make-homes-unsellable/
  18. We actually spent 4K and replaced our old oil furnace chimney, which was a metal Faux chimney, with this Class A one. This is not our house, but it looks like this. Supposedly lets less air in and out especially when the furnace is on. We definitely hear the wind less. We keep our real brick chimney damper shut when not used. We had a door blower test done (you probably did too) and found where the issues were. When the damper was open it was incredible what it pulled in. The electrical outlets were also allowing a lot in from in between the walls so they all have those children safety plugs on now which cut that way down though not a seal. Our house is mid 60's. I love it. Not a fan of the new house look (no offense to anyone.) I so wanted to do the seal in the attic instead of blown in, but our roof guy said that if we do, the 50-year roof warranty is gone.
  19. I doubt we break out the heat until it is mid 30's or lower. 45 outside means 65 inside.
  20. Maybe they can 'Staple' it together after it goes by.
  21. You beat me badly today. 52 for the low here. Being 70 still at 7PM last night did not help.
  22. 7 Above MDT's norm for the day. 8 above over here.
  23. That would probably make the barrier islands go away for good for a 20-30 mile stretch. Doubtful ...just model fodder. Downtown Tampa would be destroyed.
