The variability of the run-to-run issues/changes in dealing with the gulf is making it tough to forecast. Now GFS has a Cat 1 or Trop Storm right into Tampa Bay. Fairly decent agreement on the Icon with double digit rains in Central Florida. CMC again holds the energy back for a Trop Storm later in the week.

Much of LSV Back into D0. Northeast Drought Summary Moderate to heavy rain doused much of the Northeast Region, with totals near or exceeding 3 inches in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene (western Maryland and most of West Virginia). Excessive totals of 5 to 8 inches soaked southeastern West Virginia. Widespread improvements were brought into West Virginia and adjacent Maryland, with the wetter areas experiencing 2-class improvements. Widespread extreme drought (D3) across southeastern West Virginia last week was reduced to moderate drought (D1) this week. In contrast, lesser amounts of precipitation in central and northern West Virginia and the Maryland Panhandle led to little or no improvement, keeping much of these areas entrenched in the extreme (D3) to excessive (D4) drought which developed and expanded after mid-July.

I just mowed about 1/2 of the yard down to 3". The other half has greened but not grown. It is in sleep mode. That nice wet period will let me go into winter with one of the greener yards since 2018.

Will say it again, good thing for the sandy soil or another Helene would be a risk. Would be bad as is with this depict. That is a 15-20 bagger there. CMC prefers to hold energy back and give Steinhatchee more several days later. Lots of options for what to do with all the energy and moisture injecting into the Gulf then wandering around. EC has a Tropical Storm or Cat 1 approach Tampa then sink south in a death march toward Cuba only to survive and veer back into the Gulf.

Frustrating. I am frustrated for Mike and the other O's fans. They had a bases loaded, no out inning and end the game with one run.

Barely anything out of the SE. 3K has a brief period of winds from the west tomorrow (for me) then back to the SE Fri AM into the night. Fairly cloudy in the LSV but better than now (some breaks) into Saturday AM. HRRR has more sun than 3K tomorrow then thick cloud's Friday.

It is very foggy and wet here.

The time of @Blizzard of 93 commeth. GFS has it first PA snow 300+ hours out (also has a light to moderate freeze)

No sun yesterday, just Saturday I think and yea the models that show clouds hanging tough for you tomorrow do clear me out until Friday, then cloudy again.

Some models show little in the way of sun (some peeks) for the LSV until sometime over the weekend when a front comes by to cut off the easterly flow. Others show some tomorrow then clouding up Fri again. Clouds up against the ridges Thur on the Nam 3k as an example. NWS AFD speaks to this though they think the front does dissipate enough to allow some sun Thursday afternoon.

The gulf dance continues. Each model seems to have one threatening one per day (not check the EC)

The missiles have launched but Iran already said that was it for now.

Iran attacking Isreal again could have something to do with it (the bigger picture instability) as well as the massive dock workers strike.

This wind is drying things nicely over here. Sustained 15-20 and gusts to 30. Roads, etc all dry now.

I just checked HGR and they had 1.45 for Sept. 2.4" below normal for the month.

I would have to do some quick math when I get home but that is a good 1.25" more than I have had since Aug 9th.

Some models try to sneak some sun in on Thursday. Some like the HRRR suggest clouds hang tough Thursday especially East. Outside our area, still a hodge podge of solutions and risks in the Gulf the next 7-9 days. Sept at MDT came in quite close to even with it just being .2 AN.

Yea, I agree but maybe a softer stance and say I think he should be. Other HOF'ers with questionable parts to their careers.
