  1. Thanks @Stormfly and @nw baltimore wx for the advice. Definitely still going to get someone out to look at it. System was installed by BGE Home before we bought the house and the parts are still under warranty so that’s who I made an appointment with. Although it’s in 2 weeks. There’s nothing blocking the blades in the heat pump and that all looks ok to my very amateur eye.
  2. Yeah, still looks like periods of rain with maybe some embedded boomers. Rain amounts still TBD. Euro has backed off the epic deluge the last couple runs.
  3. And then randomly it turned back on at 945pm and started blowing cold air. So I have no idea. Light rain here now. Whopping 0.04” in the bucket so far.
  4. It’s flashing a malfunction warning now. Got a BGE Home appointment for June 7 online and will try and call tomorrow for something sooner.
  5. Damn. My AC is struggling today. I know the sun is baking right on the house at this time, but I’m wondering if I need some servicing.
  6. Was just talking to a neighbor outside and his dog leaped up and grabbed a flying cicada out of mid air. Impressive technique for a quick snack.
  7. 0z euro and 6z gfs are basically a total washout for Memorial Day weekend. I want the rain, but figures that’s when it would be.
  8. GFS and GGEM agree, but euro keeps it through Baltimore. Euro emphatically ends our proto-drought with nearly 4” of rain through D10!
  9. Euro with the 3” lolly IMBY through D10. We’ll see.
  10. In the yards around my neighborhood things are very active. Steady droning hum, trees full of shells, etc. But walked around the forest nearby this morning and still almost none. But they’re coming out right on the sunny edges of the forest, so probably soon.
  11. Euro HoCo bullseye! Won’t happen...
  12. I got my best 5G signal a couple days after my vaccine. Now streaming live sports directly into my cerebral cortex!!
  13. Euro is broadly similar with two batches over Memorial weekend. One Friday into Saturday and one Monday. I’d like the rain and getting the baseball tournament in, which are probably mutually exclusive.
  14. 12Z gfs goes for a washout Memorial Day weekend and almost 2” of rain. Been some guidance hints of things getting stormy around that period so worth watching. Of course that would rain out my sons baseball tournament, which isn’t ideal.
  15. Steady hum in my front yard now and they’re all flying through the trees.
  16. We had a nice spring temperature wise, but damn we’ve switched to summer with a quickness. Euro bakes us next week too. And it gives us a bit of rain next Monday, but still pretty dry.
  17. Was in Catonsville yesterday for my sons baseball game and there were zero cicadas that I could see or hear. Getting busy in my neighborhood though.
  18. Just heard it for the first time along my side yard
  19. I expect if there’s going to be any area around me with 1M/acre of whatever, it will be in those woods, but there’s barely been any early risers there yet so a ways to go. Around the yards and streets it’s still somewhat scattered and nothing overwhelming.
  20. Took a quick walk through the mature forest near my house. Almost none in there. All the ones I see are in yards or along the road.
  21. First day I can go back to the gym but couldn’t not go for a walk outside in this weather. Going to miss this until it comes back in September or October.
  22. Filled in and have gotten an hour of steady rain. Only a bit over 0.1” though. Not enough with dry and a week+ of 80-90F.
  23. Textbook Columbia split
