  1. Boomers for @mappy, @losetoa6, and @psuhoffman? Hoping the southern end sweeps over me.
  2. Blizzard of maple tree helicopters today.
  3. Minimum is like 300-400 kWh in December and January. Ends up being like 15-20% of total power. Our system doesn’t generate enough to run off credits in the darker months. We end up getting about 6-7 months of the year off the panels more or less. Winter is our biggest power usage from heating, way more then A/C in the summer.
  4. Wow @Mrs.J! I usually still have an April electric bill because we have to run the heat some, and the solar isn’t enough alone. May is when my bill goes down to zero/near zero.
  5. Official CWG bug cast is out. Expect to be rockin and rollin in 2 weeks.
  6. Might get some solar power off that full Moon! It’s bright!
  7. I expect grass will brown and die sometime during the summer. But want well established roots for all my trees and perennials.
  8. Hope the late week rain juices up. Want all the rain I can get going into the heat of summer.
  9. Just over 0.5”. Was hoping for closer to 1”.
  10. 0z euro juiced up for tonight. I’ll take all the rain I can before heading into summer.
  11. Our reservation is 6. Outdoor seating is tented allegedly but still would prefer rain hold off til 0z. Looks that way right now.
  12. Looks like rain tomorrow evening will hold off until after my dinner reservation!
  13. Mathematically more stupid
  14. Lots of the mass vax sites are allowing walk ups now too.
  15. A couple flurries at work in Greenbelt!! Temp is 45F per car thermometer.
  16. Flurries in bel air per my parents. Low of 34 in Columbia.
  17. Sure, late March is definitely winter.
  18. Finally some nOrmAL weather!
  19. Amelia Draper on WTOP: “a quick taste of winter”. Gimme a f-cking break. This sort of crap drives me nuts. On-air mets have to be better about communicating what is NORMAL to the public. Next week will almost certainly post bigger departures from normal than tomorrow, but because it’s warm, no one will notice. 55F highs in April are way closer to normal than 80F!! This is one reason the public doesn’t understand climate and climate change.
  20. Got a gusty sprinkle and it’s over
  21. Maybe wait until J&J starts back up so you can be one and done?
