  1. That heavy rain axis seems aimed at me. 0.3” so far since yesterday.
  2. 12z gfs takes Sally over us in the long range after hitting FL as a major cane.
  3. Got basically nothing overnight. Pretty big modeling bust.
  4. Euro is really juicy for the next 48-60 hours. Other models less enthused. Most of the disagreement is on today. Euro rains over the metro corridor all afternoon into the overnight while gfs is mostly dry.
  5. I never want to hear “the ground is too warm to accumulate” ever again
  6. Gorgeous day. Got out birding today with fall migration well underway. Saw my first kestrel in years, they used to be so common. Also red-headed woodpeckers and several warbler species. Now off to my sons baseball game.
  7. That’s why the phrase “if you don’t like the weather now, wait 5 minutes” only really applies to the Front Range.
  8. Round 3 ongoing. As sub-severe as the first two.
  9. Pretty telling that this big early fall front will knock our temps back to a frigid 1-4F below normal.
  10. Classic mid-Atlantic severe here. Heavy rain, thunder, and 10mph gusts.
  11. Same. Been hearing distant thunder for 15-20mins already.
  12. What time will the woostorms destroy my house?
  13. Very sub-severe in Columbia. Brief heavy rain and some thunder. A few gusts that probably exceeded 20mph.
  14. Radar is barely picking it up, but these rain showers are much more than sprinkles.
  15. Of course as soon as I posted this it started raining for real.
  16. It’s been deceptive. Mostly glorified sprinkles despite some greens and yellows on radar.
  17. Para-GEFS and euro both much more progressive with that front that the GFS is stalling next week.
  18. Ugh, found patches of Japanese stilt grass in my lawn. Ripped them out and going to reseed with grass seed, but got to keep a close eye on the rest of the lawn to make sure no more appears. I'm guessing it's because of how rainy it's been, stilt grass likes moisture and shadier spots.
  19. Undulatus asperatus clouds!
