  1. Right smack in the middle. Will make my .3" of fail all the more impressive.
  2. Add .16" from midweek "storms" and the .6" yesterday. Brings the total since May 3 to 6.27". Euro and NAM say I get that much Thursday. Lol. I'll take the way, way under, but that'd be funny.
  3. With a track that inland we are likely to switch over to rain.
  4. That crappy pole and that little strap is all that held that camera?? Amazing.
  5. There was never a doubt in my mind. The only question is whether gas can hit $4 per gallon next week.
  6. Close. Got .6" out of nearly 4 hours of thunderstorms. Got about 15 minutes of light rain out of the storm that went overhead. As it exploded after getting to my east I was able to get about 10 minutes of a decent downpour from the rear flank. After that it was off and on drizzle as thunder rocked all around. Storms kept sliding just to my north, then east of me. PWS near the lake, just about a mile away, got 1.3". Places at the tip of the county must have got a couple inches. Basically, the kids got to go trick- or-treating and I got a caramel apple. How'd you do?
  7. It's going to be a busy day for me, so I'll go ahead and knock out today's OBS: 0"
  8. There, completed the cycle of seasons for you.
  9. The best convection was progged west of the Blue Ridge the last 2 days, and it ended up where it usually does - in the metro areas- as I was left to run around to try to catch each of the 27 rain drops that fell on my property in order to fill a thimble. You and I will be covering our faces with cloth trying not to choke on the dust while swift water rescues and power outages occur again in the usual spots.
  10. You and I should start cactus farms.
  11. Pretty much. How many at OKV last year? This summer seems worse than my memory of last year.
  12. Another banner day of rain activity out here.
  13. Will have an easy 50 before Sep is through.
  14. Don't sell it short. It will still be hot and humid when you return.
  15. Practically Canadian airmass considering what we've been dealing with. And with it, my rain chances went from 1% to 0.
  16. Relax. You're already fretting about this winter and it's August. Yes, it'll probably suck. But not because the climate has suddenly warmed so much that snow is no longer possible; it'll probably suck because every year there is a 75% chance that it will.
  17. Forecast this morning now shows 90+ through the weekend. So, now the backdoor front disappeared too. Wonderful. Just wonderful.
  18. Let me know when you want to chase a drought. Got some good tips on locations.
  19. You can actually see my house on that map. Look for that tiny yellow minima pixel in NW Frederick County. Bingo.
