  1. It's better than continuing to suffocate in dust as DC and subs get another 3" of rain.
  2. I was far more anxious driving to the Alpine visitor center in RMNP. That stretch of Trail Ridge Rd left me a bit sweaty.
  3. Did that 2 years ago. It was a bit unnerving in a couple stretches. No way I could be a passenger.
  4. It's great if the most interesting weather to you is the passage of dry, windy cold fronts and gale- force winds under bright, sunny skies. Actually, its decent in winter in keeping snow. But, it is dry, dry, and dry during the summer. Absolute dearth of t - storms out here.
  5. Wait a minute, I thought this was a cool summer??
  6. Lol. Another day, another goose egg.
  7. Doesn't matter for us out here. Each is another screw job.
  8. No, it actually fell from the sky. Counted 6 or 7 drops on the top of my head. Tied for the 4th biggest event of the summer.
  9. Felt a couple sprinkles earlier while I was outside watering the garden.
  10. The models show another goose egg out here, so you can bet they're dead- on.
  11. I dont ever recall disparity to this degree. Where areas in the region have had feet of rain in a single month and some areas almost none.
  12. And the next batch coming through WVA heading to the south too. That's a wrap. 0.00" on the day. Again.
  13. I feel your pain. It's the same script every time.
  14. Sprinkles. Not even drizzle. Decent cells passing just to my south as per usual. Now to watch the strengthening as it heads east.
  15. Thanks for that. Looks very bleak for us out here then.
  16. So, is the development supposed to occur after the passage of the remnant line of the MCS now just to the west? Because that line looks like a weak POS. As usual, the thinnest, weakest, and most disjointed part of the line is aimed right at me.
  17. Then they need to extend that area over my yard.
  18. I'd give a kidney for 5" in a month. I dont have 5" since May 3rd.
  19. Got another shower last night. Dropped another .06", while PWS 1/2 mile away got .28". I cant wait to see how I fail again today. I miss Stephens City.
  20. Got excited by radar that showed a small, but red/ orange cell that bullseyed my house around 5 pm. Got home at 7 to find literally no trace and .05" in the bucket. I swear to Christ this place....
  21. Good thing I got lots of hot, dry, sunny conditions the last 2 days (give or take 3 months) to prepare for the coming hot, dry, sunny period.
  22. Typical. Line of storms in SPA heading into NMD, more storms for those parched areas of Central VA that have only had 2 feet+ this summer so far, and a few storms to my NW drying up into desiccant on my doorstep.
  23. Fortunately, I've not seen them here. I have no choice but to head straight to the shower; I look like a coal miner at the end of his shift when I'm finished.
