  1. It really is a great tool. Matched my obs. I could have recorded 50% more rain had i just located my house on the east side of the property.
  2. Illustrates the epic screw job nicely. Thanks.
  3. PWS 6 miles from me showing 2.8" since yesterday. I got less than .5". Even Stephens City close to 2".
  4. Its been raining here now for about 90 minutes. I have .13". In an hour and a half. While other parts of the county have had 9" apparently. .13" in 90 minutes. .13"
  5. I'm surrounded by storms 270 degrees. Rumbling thunder, outflow winds . Bright sunshine overhead.
  6. And I just got the FFW alert on my cell phone. Lol.
  7. I drove through that on my to the sunny desert. Most rain I've seen in 40 days.
  8. Right in the center of the dead zone. Exactly as predicted and expected.
  9. Don't care about the grass. Only the pumpkins, and they're too far away from a hose!
  10. I'm making preparations for my flash flood now. Applying liberal amounts of sunscreen and filling my watering can. DP 72F.
  11. In the cruel kick-in-the-junk irony category i see Stephens city getting bullseyed with a shower while I have clear blue skies out here.
  12. Looks like I'll be watering my pumpkin plants again today.
  13. Yeah, not happening in this region outside of western MD and that area south into the high spots of WV. But we can dream at least.
  14. Well, all the action today is even farther to the east. Bright sun here and the baking of the desert sand begins. I guess it'll be cool to see if it gets hot enough to turn to glass when it cools down in November.
  15. Yes! Amoxicillin causes a rash on my hands and feet. Red, itchy small bumps. Then about 1 week later the skin peels in sheets. Totally bizarre. It took 3 times before I connected the dots.
  16. Lol. .05" in the bucket. Goodness, this place is actually just as bad as Stephens City when it comes to convection. Thank God it's wetter synoptically and significantly cooler. But, it's frustratingly dry in summer.
  17. All I know is my grass is patchy brown. And thats with some pretty cool temps we've had for this time of year. That shouldn't happen in May. I haven't checked the daily numbers, but I'm confident I did not receive 1" of rain for May. And my memory is that we've been below normal for several months prior. We had the last of our high QPF events in December. Since that time, it certainly feels we entered a new, dry regime. *ETA I just checked the records.....I missed 1.3" that fell on 5/3, so I was wrong about May's total. But, since that time I've had just 1" And confirmed that I'm below normal every month since December, although April was just a little below normal.
  18. Barely recorded .75" for the whole event.
  19. 49F here. 5 PM may 29. Lol. Gorgeous!
  20. That was one great stretch of weather. But it is dry here. Parts of the yard are crunchy already. And I'm tired of sneezing. We need rain.
  21. Wow. We got a good soaking last night, but not like that. Nearest PWS shows 1.25".
  22. 23F for the low. Hope the last 2 mornings cleared some bugs and tap the brakes on the grass. Else I'm mowing next weekend.
