  1. Appreciated the clarification. I have a home in Clintwood and am here for next several weeks. I changed my reporting airport to Wise VA earlier today. Been in a lull for past 2 hours.
  2. I don’t have weather station here. Using local weather on phone app. Good to know temps are reporting lower around me. snow continues to rip.
  3. 30F 23DP Heavy snow; flake size starting to increase and rate is excellent; approaching 3”
  4. 31F 17DP Steady moderate snow; flake size still small but rate is excellent; approaching 2”
  5. 32F 15DP Steady moderate snow; small flakes; becoming a winter wonderland Temperature slowly rising. I assumed it would drop a few degrees with the start of the storm, but has gone up 3 degrees since snow started.

  12. His 0.35-0.75” ice forecast through Eastern Kentucky Southwest VA is much higher than any of the models are showing. Hoping for more snow and/or rain and less ice.

  16. Hello. I live in Northern VA and am a participate in the Mid-Atlantic region forum but have a home in Southwestern VA (Clintwood). I am staying here over the holidays and first half of January. Wanted to say hello and will be lurking here to following the upcoming winter storm(s). Currently 33 degrees with light to occasional moderate snow. Snow sticking to all surfaces.
