  1. At least we'll have a few chilly days to remind us it's winter.
  2. Froze up quickly later in the afternoon--managed to take a spill when I went to walk the dog. Bruised but not broken.
  3. I was just saying that same thing to my wife.
  4. We're moving into the time of year when the daily gain of daylight really ramps up. Between today and the end of the month, we'll snag another 37 minutes of daylight. We'll have posts about dashboard temps in about 3 weeks.
  5. it would be awesome to have something major over the long weekend.
  6. I'm sure as it'll be as steady as the 18z two Saturday's ago.
  7. Wake me up in 9 days if it's still showing anytihing.
  8. Was just noticing that. Good to see the increasing sun angle is no longer impacting this event.
  9. That little bit of back-building just to my west might keep me in the decent snows for a while longer. Over-performah. (edit: over the last couple days....sheer disappointment compared to earlier GFS porn).
  10. We ended up picking back up a couple hours ago Not very heavily, but with efficient flakes. A far cry from what we saw on the models a week ago, but a little more than I was anticipating for the past couple days. I'm guesstimating 2.5 maybe a smidge more.
  11. The only ting more useless than a day 10-11 snow map is a day 10-11 icemap.
  12. Nothing says confidence quite like a day 10 Canadian.
  13. That's what happens when you start a thread 5 days ahead of a questionable event. We tried to tell 'em.
  14. Same, but it's slacked off a ton in the 30 minutes following your post. Hopefullywe'll get a couple more bursts.
  15. Because it doesn't snow here anymore.
  16. Might be time to fire up the February thread. The rest of January sucks.
  17. Well, there goes another storm thread that was started too soon onto the ash-heap of storms that weren't.
  18. Quite the statement about the LA fires: The fires are barreling through the length of approximately five football fields a minute, Fox News reported, making containment in dense areas extremely tough for firefighters. Strong Santa Ana winds of up to 80 mph are propelling the flames and wind gusts of up to 60 mph are expected into Thursday.
