The picture was Pit1 in Shelburne. Pit1 is now in westborough (though my wife wants to move to the Cape).
Pit2 is up in Bath, ME. I'm up there every chance I get, and I can't wait to retire/semi-retire and get up there full time.
Perhaps with the cold/stormy start of the month, the invariable relaxation could take place mid-month and we can reload in time for Christmas. What an unusual thing that would be.
Just got to Pit 2 and have some flakes. I'll call that a victory.
Left Marblehead at 6:00 with the temp at 46*.
Temp dropped to 39 as I crossed from Portsmouth into Maine
Snow mixed in with the rain at PWM at 36*
All snow in Yarmouth, 295 and rte 1 all very slushy.
SN- here at Pit2 at 33*.
Flakes at least seem pretty likely at Pit2. Perhaps a little whitening if the NAMs were to play out.
The official NWS p/c is caling for a mix with the dreaded "little or no accumulation".
