I don't think this GYX AFD is accounting for the tick back SE. They do acknowledge surprise that the models aren't showing more along the Maine coast. In summary, confidence is increasing in the coastal plain seeing accumulating snowfall, with less confidence inland. Timing has also become clearer with snow likely not reaching our area until the early hours of Monday morning and lasting into early Tuesday. Amounts remain highly uncertain, but with hi-res models now in the mix we should be able to lock onto a more certain track over the next 24 hours.

So much weather. I'll be hoping the wind will keep my clear of the 1-2" we'll be getting here. At this point, I think the ensembles can only be used for a sense of "is there room to move". Everything says the limit's been reached for low placement. QPF fields may still vary a little.

GYX posts things like this to make me keep my hopes up. 3. On Monday night, an intense coastal low will move close to the Gulf of Maine. At the bare minimum, it appears that light measurable snowfall is likely along the coast, but the potential for widespread winter storm impacts remain a possibility across most of New Hampshire and Maine. Snow may continue into Tuesday, potentially impacting the Tuesday morning commute, especially along the coast.

I'm back in the world of work. What sucks is that I will be driving down tomorrow to work on the new Pit and will leave Sunday afternoon as hisotry is being made.

Agreed---this never really had a chance for up here, though it's tantalizingly close. We'll enjoy the 3" and take solace in the fact we don't need to shovel 2'. And, we won't spend as much time on our computers!
