  1. Someone flipped a switch. It’s ripping here. Accumulating on cars fast
  2. I’ve still only seen a few flakes. Been watching out the window all morning. The cloud base isn’t low at all. Normally in snow events I couldn’t see the mountains in the distance but they’re clear as day edit: there’s nothing falling now (8:32)
  3. Might be a dumb question but with the GSP radar down, what do yall use to see what’s falling?
  4. I’ve seen at most 3 snowflakes. You know I’m down bad if even @wncsnowis beating me out haha
  5. Unfortunately, McDowell county gets blanked today and tomorrow in that scenario lol. Of course
  6. Hope at least some of yall get a surprise. Another disappointment for your foothill/lower elevation mountain friends. Consistent with the last few years.
  7. I’ll never forgive the models for giving @wncsnowhope for once only to give us nothing
  8. I really let myself get down and out during that January system. This one was the nail in the coffin for me. I'm out of tracking winter weather for this year. It honestly just has not brought me joy. I'll still probably linger but I'm out for the forseeable future. Best of luck, guys.
  9. I heard this several times before the dud of an event in January. Didn’t pan out then and won’t now
  10. Posters on here regularly come for wncsnow when he’s just posting what he says for his area….which is exactly the same as y’all are doing. Good for yall down east scoring again. But, foothill folks have a reason to post as well. And the trends haven’t been good.
  11. Don’t blame you, @wncsnow. The main forum doesn’t work for us and the mountain folks kicked us out last year. Sucks that we can’t seem to pull one in. Another dud.
  12. When are today's strong winds? There's barely even been a breeze since the line moved through...
  13. Where's the QPF? Same story as every other "winter" threat this year. Rain, sure, here's an atmospheric river. But, snow *poof*
  14. Coming back to this to say I doubt I’ll even see accumulation.
  15. GFS was essentially a nothing-burger here. Having January flashbacks of a weaker and non-impressive system here.
  16. EPS was another tick down here. Seems like it'll be one of those where Piedmont gets smoked, while I get a small storm. Guess it's better than nothing.
  17. I'm still in the "I'll believe it when I see it". I think there will be wintry precip around but will be too late of a bloomer for me. Maybe a trace.
  18. Sounds and looks about right. More NC misery.
  19. What does it take for us in the foothills to score anymore. It's either amped/rain or weak/sheared/no precip. I just need 1 decent storm y'all.
  20. Yawn. Let the trend to 33 and rain hurry on up.
  21. People still talking snow chances in the foothills? Not happening. It will be cold. It will rain. It will be miserable. There will be no snow.
  22. 100% what I expect living in the foothill snow hole this year haha
  23. Yawn. The long-range models don't excite me. Lots of the same as we've seen before. It'll just trend towards a cutter/rain or suppressed/cold/snow in the Piedmont and Coastal Plain. Just take me on to Spring already to end the misery
  24. A couple trees had some light glazing as I was going up Old Fort mountian but in general temps ranged from 40 at the bottom of the mountain to 34 at the top. Nothing significant.
  25. @BornAgain13single-handedly keeping this forum alive at this point. Everyone in NC has already checked out for the year.
