Enjoy this event on Monday my higher elevation friends. Your foothill brethren still can’t buy a small size event if we try. 3 years and counting at this point.

Remember everyone in the main forum preaching about building snow pack up north? “The models underestimate the impact of that! We need the snowpack in Virginia!” BS.

This “event” tomorrow is among the most frustrating just because it’s in the low 20s less than 24 hours before the precip moves in and we rain?

More of the same. Constant disappointment. I know it’s early in the season but man we need a win in the foothills at some point.

Drove up Old Fort mountain this morning no issues. Unofficially my car never got below 34 from Old Fort to the AVL airport.

Us foothill folks heard about the northern stream a lot last year. More of the same. Cold rain or cool/dry. Never any snow for us.

I’m still worried we’re gonna have a cool start to December with some occasional chilly rains and then have a toasty Christmas time period.

Wow. Woke up to a solid little dusting here. Cars and yard are covered in a thin layer of snow.

Had about 10 mins of a decent snow shower that made it look like a snow globe outside. That should about do it here. Orientation isn’t great for Old Fort/trying to make it over Mt Mitchell

I saw a flake… maybe 2 in Old Fort.

Starting to think we’re cursed in McDowell. I didn’t even get a real chill last night, hovered around 39-40 for my low.

I get there’s sensitivity surrounding the anniversary of Helene but… Boyer and local Mets are underplaying this.

If anyone knows me on a personal level, I am snow and winter weather OBSESSED. But, this winter drained the fun out of it for me. I’m also ready for spring.

It sucks to have two separate events in a winter where it snows fly a few hours and you come away with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile I got people complaining in Raleigh that they’re getting 2” instead of 6”. It’s just so frustrating and deflating. Heck, I scored more from that rogue NWFS event that broke containment than a “Miller A”

It’s so annoying that it’s been snowing steady or at least off/on since 9 and I have nothing to show for it. Tiny flakes. It’s 37 degrees. We can’t winter here anymore.

I have big flakes here again but lots of melting. Hard to accumulate…
