  1. I well might be wishcasting, but that radar precip shield looks a good bit better than modeled. .
  2. That shield’s going to end up a bit NW of that I bet. Like it virtually always does: .
  3. Climo suggests it. We’ll know soon enough by how far it digs. The deeper it goes, the better. For ONCE, cold air and sourcing won’t be an issue. .
  4. It needs to dig deeper and juice significantly to get it done. Long shot… .
  5. Just need the L to dig deep enough that it can bomb a bit and fire up the precip shield. Long shot, but not *fully* dead. .
  6. It’s that much of a delta from here to there? We didn’t get past 31 here in Elon… .
  7. Personally done lusting after this and channeling good vibes to Gulf Coast folks where this is like a once every decade plus opp. Enjoy it guys!!! . Hate wasting this cold but it breaks how it breaks.
  8. Just casually painting what has to be the largest snowstorm in recorded history for NC/SC. No biggie lol. .
  9. Well that would effectively shut the entire state of NC down for about a week… .
  10. Nothing’s inevitable, but I’ll place my bet and be comfortable with it. .
  11. Agree. People wigging about suppression at this range baffle me. Y’all new here? Climo wins in these setups about 9.5/10 times, and climo says look for a NW trend. .
  12. Love that at this range. We know what climo is w/r/t 95% of the time… .
  13. Bingo. Suppressed and stupid cold looks are good honestly at range because the models overdo the degree of cold push approx. 95% of the time. What you don’t want is riding right on the edge 10 days out for a bomb. That’s gonna trend NW and rain on you 9/10 times. If Randolph and Mortimer Duke are freaking out about an inch of freezing rain destroying the FCOJ market in Florida a week out, that right there is our sweet spot. .
  14. Really strong signals from both at that range. .
  15. Hey, last year at this time model runs were just 10+ days of never ending death ridge. This is way more fun! .
  16. And frigid temps right after. It wouldn’t go anywhere for a minute… .
  17. Good god. A foot + Murphy to Manteo with nearly 2 feet in central NC. Obviously Operational 11 days out but frame that. .
  18. I tend to agree. While it would be fascinating for nerds like us; that is a massive strain on power grids not used to that level of cold and the type of cold that kills people. Especially in Helene areas… .
