Looks like Williamsport, Scranton, and Selinsgrove, PA are all moderate snow still. That heavy banding doesn't seem to be sleet (yet). Hudson Valley is snow as well.
Change of thinking? see a ray of hope?

Yeah I think syr may get close to a foot before dry slot. Not seeing sleet anywhere
Well if we get that plus LES later tomorrow into tomorrow night we'd be in great shape

Well the rest of the models seem to be showing us getting screwed as well. So it's the high hills to our south that I hate with a passion as well. lol... the downsloping and torch they promote in the Syracuse area is torture for a cold-weather fan like myself. Had I known this, I would have located elsewhere.
Now where is the for sale sign? Time for me to go west or atop Mt Washington

Maybe we will all be surprised; not impossible

That's a disgusting look for Syracuse northern burbs. Almost looks like one of my trolling attempts at @TugHillMatt. Its almost as if the model is now trolling me. Sad Days.
That yellow in Cuse on is "mixed"?

That's just up to 3 AM Monday, though, right? Most models seem to be increasing amounts for Toronto, for the entirety of the storm.
Yes, 3am Monday

No matter where a low goes ..north, south, east.... We warm. I'm out for the night. Happy resting.
We're in the same boat, but I also know we got a solid 2 months ahead of chances too
There also could be a sudden surprise too, ya never know

Euro 12z rolling

Will that snow hole courtesy of a dry slot still encompass Syracuse ?
What needs to happen for the dry slot to shift ?

But that's what @tim123likes. A pile gets covered in a dusting of snow and he measures in at 7 inches.
This is my fault, I own it, I brought Long Island's Nassau County snow hole here with me

I'll wait for tomorrow's 12z and 00z models before I accept anything as inevitable
Part of our mutual obsession is going from extreme disappointment to sudden jubilation

I never expected more than 2” with this setup. Sleetfest incoming. I’ve seen this movie way too many times
@snywx @crossbowftw3 I'm up in Cicero NY, north of Syracuse,( hoping for 6-10 ) believe me, if action turned to Sullivan/Orange I'd be back in a flash

It’s not news that NYC is generally a lousy place for snow. Central Park averages 30” annually (boosted considerably by how lucky we’ve been in the last decade) while the Catskills average 70+. Syracuse averages over 120”. I noticed @sferic moved to Cicero near Syracuse. Hate it that much, do what he/she did.
We have boom and bust cycles lately where we have a monster 30” Feb 2021 or little/nothing.
Actually still have Lynbrook and Liberty houses just broadened my horizons
Love Long island, hate the rain snow line creeping up the coastt LOL

Well as a newbie here in Onondaga (Cicero ) I'm ready for SNOW Sunday night into Monday Night. I feel confidant 6 inches is a lock and if it's an extreme overperformer 12- 18 inches.

SYR at hour 114 down in accumulation from 00z run
Thought with track further east, those mega amounts to Syracuse's west would move east too

Mine was probably the "Lindsey Storm" of 1969 in NYC. Under/un forecasted and caught everyone with their pants down. It's blamed for the NYC Mayor Lindsey losing re-election, IIRC, as NYC's snow removal was atrocious. I was in NNJ for that as a wee lad. We had some very solid snowstorms in late 60's / early 70's there. Than i moved to SE VA. Game Over other than the winter of 77-78 where the James and York Rivers froze down to Hampton Roads and we actually had snow cover for an extended period.
2.9.69 Remember it well, initial forecast was for 1-2 inches of snow changing to rain for NYC, NYC schools closed day after on Feb 10th 1969
