Solid again from the Euro. Few misses and a couple big hits

I see small positive steps from the 18Z euro. Yes it's paltry over NC but it is slowly increasing moisture and has a better orientation of the precip. I think (and hope) by tomorrow at 12Z it will be beefed up.

Interesting drive to Asheville earlier. Was 33 with some ice on trees going up Old Fort mountain before I hit the fog which was very bad near the top. As soon as I got to Ridgecrest, brilliant bright sun and the temp went up to 41. Then as soon as I got to Asheville the fog set back in.

I would take that GFS run. 2 inches of snow then half an inch of sleet with some zr on top for my location. I hope the initial band of snow is stronger with a front end thump of snow.

Basically it looks like Texas to Arkansas is going to see more snow out of this than NC unless something changes.

I think it depends on the location of the phase and where you live. In NC the trends aren't terrible. A bigger storm could mean more snow if the track is right. The worst outcome would be a weak mess with little precip. Give me a qpf bomb and I will take my chances. Places in GA and SC don't want that though.
