Temps may be an issue here but I think we are in a prime spot for heavy precip with the flow direction. I'm sure there will be some surprises with this storm good and bad. I don't think your forecast is bad just think Asheville may have slightly less precip especially with this type of flow

Ward only has me at 1-3 in the foothills but 6 to 10 in Asheville. We'll see.

I should have been more specific it had downtown AVL getting 4 to 6 inches and it didn't. I have watched the HRRR for years its not bad but not as good as the Hires Nam

It didn't do that well for the Christmas eve storm, it had 4 to 6 inches in Buncombe when in reality it was 2 to 3.

All of McDowell County is over 6 inches with many approaching a foot
