Has been raining here past hour or so
-
If the Euro is correct then it's going to dry out some finally
-
The southern part of the county seemed seemed do better than northern part other than high elevation areas.
-
Crazy variation in snow amounts in short distances. Here at my house less than an inch, 2 miles to my SE on a hill close to 2 inches. Probably 2 or 3 in Morganton but very little near Hickory.
-
Biggest bust here since January 2013 or March 08.
-
Did some driving around. It's pouring in Morganton and they have a few inches. Also was triple the snow on the bypass as we had near the river. Even a few hundred feet help in marginal setups
-
Guess I need to make the quick trip
-
We really need a true southern slider with a nice CAD high to do well here, I can't remember a ULL working out here Edit- great minds think alike
-
I should be used to it here but I was spoiled when living in Virginia.
-
Flake size has increased a little but it could snow like this for 100 years and amount to nothing
-
Light rain mixed with snow 36
-
I got about an inch that's quickly melting. It's 36 now and doing pretty much nothing. Foothills fail
-
Lol and there's where the snow went. Looks like Wytheville down to Galax may be big winners
-
Downsloping has begun here. Ceiling raising and temperature rising. On to the next one
-
It's up to 35 here lol I think we will switch to rain
-
Don't feel bad upstate peeps we were modeled to get at least 3 to 6 inches by every model and meteorologist and we barely have an inch and it's melting.
-
None of the globals or short range has done well here
-
It's melting here and pretty much stopped.
-
The GFS was the least snowy model here and had 2 or 3 inches, I don't think we will even get that. The hi res and short range models all had between 3 and 6 inches. The temperatures have been ok here around 32 all night but the snow rates have been awful after the initial band.
-
Same here not as much as I was hoping for
-
Feather sized flakes here now, wild
-
It's down to flurries again here, waiting on the next batch
-
Got a good dusting now and surprised it's all the way down to 31.8
-
Temp went from 38.8 to 32.4 in 2 hours and huge flakes now starting to accumulate near Marion
-
I'm finally all snow and coming down at a good clip. Down to 33.2
