It appears to me looking at the radar and upper air satellite that the upper low is further north than any models had it. Most had it down in Central MS or Bama but right now it's close to northern MS and Bama

We got down to 36 here near Marion under heavier returns but now back up to 38 and the returns are having trouble making it here so far. Should fill in soon

36 here now, the evaporational cooling is doing work. The radar gap does look suspicious but it should fill in with the flow around the upper low

Euro isn't an app runner this run. It's more of a weak system with some light snow in the mtns and light rain elsewhere

I doubt we see 4 to 6 and you get 0. More likely you get an inch or 2 and I get 3 or 4.

Latest HRRR is much better than previous runs

The 00Z Euro shows something I have never seen here and more like the plains- It has Asheville getting down to 10 degrees or colder on Sunday night then rain/mix less than 8 hours later.
