  1. Amen brother. We had 11" here in that Jamuary 2022 system. But since then, basically nada in the foothills. As each week passes with no snow, we get closer to another disappointing winter.
  2. It's definitely disappointing. We haven't had a true snow threat (much less a storm) in almost 2 years most places outside TN border.
  3. Hate to say it but the pattern looks pretty boring the next 10 days. No major threats. Could be a little upslope snow but nothing major. Hopefully this warming event happens but the models are backing off that now too.
  4. Safe to say the drought has ended. Now step 2- An area wide snowstorm.
  5. Still getting moderate rain at times 5.7 total. None of the models had this much.
  6. If we don't get a major SWE I think the odds of area wide snow is pretty slim
  7. Eclipsed 5 inches here. Catawba is highest It's been in a year at least. Rain keeps backbuilding in with the SE flow.
  8. Merry Christmas! The pattern us changing. Multiple shots of snow for the mountains the next few weeks.
  9. I don't know whether to be excited or if it's winter cancel. There seems to be 2 consensus of opinions.
  10. We had 23 at the house. It's been a cold few weeks on average here.
  11. Speak for yourself. Down by the Catawba in PG it was 16. I think you have more elevation.
  12. I bet you get 3 or 4. Hopefully a precursor of what's to come in early January
  13. First flakes of the season in Marion. Mixed with rain of course
  14. Looks like the trough isn't digging enough for a big NWFS event
  15. .77 here. These nice slow rains are good and don't runoff
  16. Rain has also really shifted east. We may not get half an inch across most of the area. We do still need rain believe it or not. The water table is low and we are at a 5 to 10 inch deficit for 2023 for the region.
  17. Good news is the low really pulls in some cold air after it passes and a nice vort crosses giving the mountains their best NW flow of the season.
