    Models hinting at a low forming on this front on or near the Gulf Coast. Could be heavy rain somewhere next week in the SE

    We picked up .57 yesterday and are closing in on 2 inches for July.

    We got a nice shower earlier then a decent storm this evening for .65 today total.

    It's literally coming a monsoon 2 miles to the east with at least 1-2 inches of rain the last hour or 2. At my house- sprinkles.

    Missed again. Areas 5 miles to my SE, S and SW got .5 to 1.5. A trace here and only .17 the last few weeks.

    Got fringed today by a severe storm near Lake James. About .15 today and .45 yesterday. We'll take it.

    Pretty big tornado hit Chesnee, SC earlier.

    Looks like a change to a wet stormy pattern could be coming this weekend and next week

    Had some heavy snow and graupel showers all day near the outlets in Asheville. One even covered the grass in the FBRV with brief near whiteout conditions.

    I will be out at Truck City touch a truck event today at the Asheville Outlets. Did not expect this type of weather.

    Next weekend is continuing to show hints of more high elevation snowfall, this time possibly from a gulf low.
