  1. Crawling up through central Florida
  2. Its about 30 miles south closer to Port Charlotte
  3. Euro is pretty similar to last nights 00Z run so far
  4. GFS is identical to the last run almost. Crawling up the coast south of Sarasota
  5. True but not to the extent shown with this system, it is shown moving all the way back to Charlotte not skirting up the coast.
  6. If this keeps trending east, it could have enough time to maintain or re-strengthen a little then move back into SC
  7. I'm sure it has happened in history, but I can never recall a storm crossing Florida from the Gulf side then turning back west into SC/GA or NC after entering the Atlantic.
  8. Anyone got rainfall maps from the 18z Euro?
  9. Someone in NC or VA is going to get 8" or more of rain out of this
  10. Euro keeps pumping out 6 plus here along the escarpment. We could handle it most likely but if we get any training of cells along the Blue Ridge it could get ugly.
  11. It's a good 20 mb stronger than 00Z
  12. Euro is a little west and substantially stronger than 00z
  13. Maybe not New York but if this storm stalls in the southern Appalachians, it could mean serious flooding, mudslides, etc. Pretty much all of the models have over 4 inches of rain up to 8 inches of rain for the eastern escarpment of the Blue Ridge in Western NC/SC into NE GA. Luckily it has been dry lately but with the SE flow leading to orographical uplift, it could get ugly fast,
  14. Flooding may well be the biggest story when all is said and done in Florida. Ian is going to crawl
  15. Euro is a beast sub 950 mb making landfall near Naples
  16. Looks a little further southwest through 48 on the Euro
  17. Not anytime soon, could be weeks until significant rain.
  18. We got down to 49 here. Very possible we don't see anymore rain this month
  19. .65 already and pouring. Quite breezy too which is a bit strange for my area.
  20. 4 inches now and flash flood warnings. Catawba went from 2 feet to 7 feet in a. few hours
  21. Close to 3 inches here for the event. Much more directly on the escarpment to my west.
  22. Another .27 today and .73 since Monday. Lots of quick hitting showers but nothing too heavy.
