    Had some heavy snow and graupel showers all day near the outlets in Asheville. One even covered the grass in the FBRV with brief near whiteout conditions.

    I will be out at Truck City touch a truck event today at the Asheville Outlets. Did not expect this type of weather.

    Next weekend is continuing to show hints of more high elevation snowfall, this time possibly from a gulf low.

    Models have ben shifting the low further south and east, probably not fast enough but the mountains could do well

    It's gonna get pretty cold mid month. Any plants that come out early will be in for a rude surprise. Could be teens for WNC.

    It got up to 71 here near Asheville and mid 50s just 20 miles away in Old Fort.

    Welcome to the theme of this winter. Spring should arrive in full force soon, the models were showing lows in the teens early next week now it may not even get below 30.
