    West of I 77 and the foothills getting crushed this evening. Some places in McDowell have 3 to 4 inches already and still storming.

    Got fringed for the 3rd time this week. Another .12 for the monthly total.

    We finally missed out for the most part today. Only .12 but we are right around our average July total already.

    Models hinting at a low forming on this front on or near the Gulf Coast. Could be heavy rain somewhere next week in the SE

    We got a nice shower earlier then a decent storm this evening for .65 today total.

    It's literally coming a monsoon 2 miles to the east with at least 1-2 inches of rain the last hour or 2. At my house- sprinkles.

    Missed again. Areas 5 miles to my SE, S and SW got .5 to 1.5. A trace here and only .17 the last few weeks.

    Pretty big tornado hit Chesnee, SC earlier.

    Looks like a change to a wet stormy pattern could be coming this weekend and next week

    First real storm of the season, small hail and frequent lightning. .35 of much needed rain in the gauge.

    Had some heavy snow and graupel showers all day near the outlets in Asheville. One even covered the grass in the FBRV with brief near whiteout conditions.

    I will be out at Truck City touch a truck event today at the Asheville Outlets. Did not expect this type of weather.
