  1. Nice. Did 105 Saturday and 91 yesterday. Got to get it while you can.
  2. Very warm. Not overly snowy but not the worst. In the lower half but not the bottom quarter. The gradient seems to cut right through this area but these are just personal observations and not rooted in anything formal. The best obs by far for northern VT are done by JSpin, who I believe teaches at UVM. Data is his thing and he does an outstanding job analyzing it.
  3. Free weekend in NH is March 6, 7 & 8. NY is the next weekend.
  4. That’s the beauty of using old railroad beds for trails. They don’t need as much snow because they are flat and smooth. No rocks or roots or other variations of the surface that need more snow to cover and fill in.
  5. If there is still snow by the time NH’s free weekend comes, I want to do that from the Lebanon end.
  6. He is about to turn 16 and is 5’11”
  7. The northern Greens have gained some snow the last week or two. Was -18 when I got up so decided to get a later start to our ride. Was 0 when we left at 10:00 am. Beautiful day to be out.
  8. The northern Greens are starting to bring the snow
  9. I'm not sure about year round campgrounds personally but check out our winter traveler's guide https://vtvast.org/flipbook/2019/TravelersGuide1920/index.html?page=1 This book tells you all the services available trailside in VT
  10. I’m a 100 -125 miler. When it gets much longer than that I’m ready to call it a day.
  11. He’s going to beat you into the ground with that 850. Of course he probably wants to upgrade to the turbo 850 already.
  12. I’d like it a bit colder, just to help with retention and pack building but I do appreciate the break on the heating bills.
  13. Liverpool is a pretty cool city, of course I am a fan of the football team and visiting Anfield was big on my list of things to do. York is cool to visit if you are interested in history, especially Vikings. London is awesome though. I’m not overly cosmopolitan but it is my favorite city It is easy to explore and there is absolutely something for everyone. The museums alone can keep you occupied for weeks.
  14. I’m glad I read through this thread before I responded to him because this was my exact thought. It’s not like a switch is flipped on certain days and the weather can’t bleed one way or the other.
  15. When we were there in the summer of 2017, it was one of the warmest June’s in over 40 years. I swear we are the only family to go to the UK for vacation and come back with sun burns. The day we left London was 90+. We touched down in Iceland and it was misty and upper 40’s and it never felt so good.
  16. Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have any other Premier League fans in my office anymore to cheer with or gloat over so I have to take my chances when I can. Have fun on your tripo
  17. Yes, very underwhelming here
  18. No doubt. That year was worse and so was 15/16. 05/06 was worse too. This one has been below average in some respects but I’ve had snow in my yard since November 12, though it got down to patches at least once. It hasn’t been able build deep pack or sustain cold temps so some winter activities have been hampered.
