  1. Second dose of Moderna this Friday.
  2. This is a neat idea/product https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/03/16/business/new-hampshire-ski-lift-entrepreneurs-innovate-with-products-backyards-resorts/?et_rid=745095886&s_campaign=todaysheadlines:newsletter
  3. If that happens, I’m packing up the sleds and visiting Mitchland.
  4. I used to listen to WFAN out of NYC just because I could pick up the AM signal after sundown pretty reliably and stations from Boston were pretty sketchy. During the day I would listen to the ESPN lineup. Eventually I got tired of just about all sports talk though. Every host hammers the same topics and you hear stuff just beat into the ground. I listen to a sports station form the UK, talkSport. I've been increasingly getting into English football so a lot of it is all new but they are better about the variety of topics they discuss. Some of it is that a lot of their topics are new to me but they also discuss golf, boxing and other sports like track and field occasionally. They even talk NFL weekly.
  5. I go back and forth. I've never minded the early sunsets in winter. I sort of like that feeling. On the other hand, I work from a home office so later sunrises don't really bother me either. What I do hate is having to change twice a year. Lets split the difference and and stay there year round.
  6. NWS forecast for the week looks like perfect sap run weather. Upper 30’s and low to mid 40’s for highs and dropping below freezing at night. Feels like March.
  7. Good thing you didn’t have to go there. I hear it’s so dry that mulch bursts into flames just driving by.
  8. I think your last paragraph sums it up pretty well. It’s a fatigue factor. We were up in Jay last Tuesday and we’re going to eat lunch at the Jay Village Inn but they were closed because of an employee testing positive for Covid. The state has been bouncing around between 75 and 150 new cases a day for the last month or so and staying below 2% positive rate as well so it’s almost like we are just barely keeping it below a boil.
  9. That’s a better location for snow than downtown Northfield. If I was working in the office, I’d offer to meet up for lunch someday in Montpelier.
  10. Marvelous Marvin Hagler died today. He was 66. I didn’t know he lived in New Hampshire. I’m not a huge boxing fan but he was great. https://apple.news/AYZejvQFxQZGXhNy66-1Vig
  11. I have 2300 hours of sick time but state employees in VT don’t get anything for them when we retire. I have about 230 hours of vacation time and can accrue up to 360 before I start losing it. They will pay out up to that amount when you leave state service. I’ve been with the State since 1993.
  12. Unfortunately, my roof panels were covered with snow until today.
  13. Yes, just like the pressure we get to reform health care.
  14. We dipped down to 31.8° and are up to 35.7°. The driveway is melting out so that's a good thing.
  15. 43.5° with a DP of 19.6° and bright blue skies. That's the way to run a melt.
  16. Was that Stowe today? Overcast all day up in Jay.
  17. I was up in your neck of the woods today and off the valley floors, it was mid winter. We rode from Lowell to Jay and then over towards Richford. Jay Peak was in clouds all day and the snow was chalky.
  18. Hookers and blow is the only way to invest $500K. That will give you true satisfaction.
  19. I'm an 80's hair band child but I prefer this one
  20. High of 32° off a low of 2.3° for me today. Tomorrow the run will start in earnest.
