That’s a pretty decent haul up Rt3 for you isn’t it? As for 45 acres, it’s pretty big in the context of forest fires up here, I think. I can’t remember a lot of bigger ones.

Still nothing here. Spent a good part of each day outside this weekend doing work around the house and playing golf and its been bug free.

It's a delicate balance for me. If I play too much, I can lock bad habits in, if I don't play enough, I never get into any type of rhythm.

Played our first Tuesday night informal league tonight. I played well through 6 holes. I birdied the 6th to be +2 and then proceeded to finish triple-bogey-triple and shot a 9 over 44. I consider myself a bogey golfer, my handicap is 15. If you told me before we started that I would shoot a 44, I would have been fine with that, especially for the first real time out. The way I got there really sucks though. At least I won money.

This is true. The other week, I pulled into a parking lot across the street from a building at the same time a fire truck pulled up. I noticed all the strobes, alarms going off and people coming out but couldn't see anything. I figured it must be a false alarm. I walked around the other side and then I saw a garbage can on fire underneath the covered drive through area of the building. Just goes to show you it's always better to evacuate instead of speculate.

Played 9 tonight. Didn’t keep score as it was my first time out. I was by my self and the course was empty so I hit multiple balls on a lot of holes and generally just practiced. Hit the ball well for the most part, putted like crap. The greens were slow and shaggy. I always figure the reason I’m not completely awful the first few times out is that I’ve forgotten my bad habits over the winter. Unfortunately, I have a good memory and those bad habits are sure to return.

DIT has just chucked his Tandy across the room in a blind rage after the last few lawn posts.

I love Hakkas but am really meh about studs. They only really work on ice or hard packed snow. They don't do anything in slush like this and could actually be worse on pavement.

This snowfall puts me at 90" for the season, give or take an inch or two that I missed by not recording every trace. On the surface it looks like an ok winter but with all the cutters and melt downs it really struggled to reach a D. And to add insult to injury, my mailbox just became a casualty of this crappy winter.

Not sure about surprised. I new we were on the line and could go either way. Probably disappointed is the closer reaction or maybe sadness and disgust for some.
