Not that it doesn't suck but I think he was saying that they closed them in order to groom and snowmake on them in order to get them ready for the weekend.
For me, the bigger issue comes from tracks that get frozen into the trail. I hate getting stuck in frozen ski ruts. Seems like you are always wrestling to keep the sled going the way you want rather following someone else's tracks.
Haven't heard about wait times around here but we are on auto fill. They came around the time they usually do, quarter tank left. The $3.55 per gallon was a bummer though

Pretty deep lake. I know parts of it freeze. I remember a story several years ago about some snowmobilers having to water skip for a couple of miles when they came across open water late at night. I think a couple of the didn't make it.
I have a studs. This is the first year I’ve had them. It was icy enough Sunday that was glad. My son’s 600 ACE overheated a couple of times. Studs no scratchers.
