  1. Getting very close to SN+ here with ~1/4 mile visibility. @jonjon my deck isn't quite as impressive as yours, but that's my goal lol. 16 degrees after an afternoon high of 18.
  2. Snowfall rates in the last 30 minutes have really increased. Received right at an inch overnight after 14.5" the previous 36 hours. Low was 12.2, currently 13.5. Looking for another 4-6" before this upslope event cuts off tomorrow afternoon. Best stretch of winter since I moved here in 2022. All of the area resorts are in excellent shape - if you were ever thinking of a weekend getaway to play in the snow to ski/tube, this weekend would be the perfect time to do it.
  3. It's been a great upslope day. Sometimes the upslope is just conversational snow...not amounting to much. But today, I shoveled the driveway several times. I'd say in the last 24 hours, I've picked up 6.5" upslope on top of the 8 with the 'regular' storm. Driving around town, the piles are getting enormous (especially at the Oakland Wal-Mart) ... just so damn neat. High today at mi casa was only 18.
  4. Since the end of the ULL, I've received 5 inches and it continues to steadily come down. Windy and 17 - a true winter's day. Advisories up until noon Thursday for 3-6+. Snow map shows me in the 6-8 range. Love it.
  5. I received 8" from the storm itself (thank you, ULL) and since then, steady upslope snow since about 8 PM last night added another 3.5" so just shy of a foot. Fluffy stuff as temps are bouncing between 14-15. Visibilities this morning have been under a mile, so this is turning out to be a fairly significant upslope event as well.
  6. The ULL was the best part by far. Closing in on 8". Being outside and shoveling (I love doing that because a) it's in the snow, duh and b) it's really good exercise) without any wind was just so refreshing. Hoping to score a bit more this week via upslope. @nj2va you're the upslope expert - how's it looking
  7. The second round just began in southern Garrett. I hope, at least imby, the second round is better than the first because the first - out here with our 10-20" forecast as of last night - was pretty pitiful (4" so far).
  8. That's what I expect here (a struggle to get to the min). Going to sleep at midnight it was 10-20 with a potential max of 25 and a heavy snow meso discussion thrown in for posterity. I now have 2.5 with a few showers a long way off. I hope we are both pleasantly surprised with the second half. Good luck!
  9. This is about what I have and what I see. You think this is going to pick up or do we have an epic bust on our hands?
  10. About 2.5" with nothing currently and some scattered returns looking westward.
  11. Snow! And under a meso discussion for heavy snow as well. I live for this stuff. Temp 17.8 with little wind.
  12. The Garrett County warning is a beautiful read. Up to 24 inches which would be incredible (although I highly doubt that will occur here in MLP). The upslope after the storm passes doesn't look like something to turn your nose up at either. BTW, thank you for all of your insight! Nights like this don't come around very often.
  13. Yes, I am about 10 miles south of DC lake. I am about a mile away from Broadford Lake. @nj2va is much closer to the lake and about 300 feet higher than me, and it has begun there. Should be any minute. Doing my best to stay awake; at least the Sunday Night NFL game is on.
  14. Still waiting in Mountain Lake Park. DP is 8.6. We've had virga for about 90 minutes. Once it finally gets to the surface, I expect it to accumulate quickly.
  15. Nothing yet but soon I hope. 20.1/8.4 in Mountain Lake Park at the moment. Looks to be a significant storm out here, just like everywhere else. Would do a cartwheel down 219 if LWX's max materialized lol.
  16. OMG! No need to come out here (like, ever)...I'll see you there. There has been a significant storm now for several days and it ain't that far off.
  17. I really hope you do well my friend! Clouds are lowering and thickening here in GC and super excited. I hope you stay SN throughout the whole storm.
  18. 19.0/7.1 with thick cirrus. Drum roll....
  19. Frosty morning with a few flurries. 8.6 and pumped for tonight. Beyond time for everyone to cash tf in!
  20. Wanted to get out of the house so drove to Blackwater Falls in Davis. It was spectacular. Easily 18 inches on the ground and not busy at all. We are all likely getting some snow to scratch that itch, but if you want a wonderful day trip to a winter wonderland tomorrow, I couldn’t recommend this more.
  21. It's been snowing steadily for the last couple hours. What an amazing deep winter day. 12.2 here
  22. Do you work in the brewery? Thinking of swinging by today. Would love to say hi.
  23. Pic taken during a squall last evening. That’s just snow, no real blowing snow at that moment. The trees in the background are about 75-100 feet away from my porch which is where this was taken.
  24. Low of 12 which is what it remains. Light snow with winds gusting to 28 mph. January at its best in the mountains (from my perspective). However, my equator-born husband was less than thrilled to be working outside at Wisp all day lol.
  25. GFS continues to spit out serious amounts in the highlands over the next couple of weeks. I'm up to 7" today and 30" on the year. I hope this rosy outlook verifies - would be like the winters in the 2000s and early 2010s. @jonjon will be buried and us in Oakland/Mountain Lake Park not far behind.
