  1. It was a good jump up but now getting 95+ in the valley spots so ORH makes more sense. Still 91F there seems tough sometimes even if BDL hits 97F .
  2. We grabbed 7 degrees between 11am-12pm, so 10 should be pretty easy. 86/67
  3. Weird not having the NNE ASOS sites on top there... haha. All joking aside, I wonder if they'll mix as well as they did today. I think if they mix out a spot 100 isn't out of the question. If dews stay 63-65F and above, I don't think there's a chance.
  4. Amen. What an evening. IPAs flowing and every single patio in town is hopping. 71/66
  5. Looks about the size of the one we have around. I still haven’t caught ours on camera and it bugs me, ha. He takes off into the woods pretty fast. Acts like a 2-4 year old adolescent male with a tough of spaz. Really curious about everything but doesn’t like to be seen, likes hiding in the woods.
  6. You want to be up at airport height or where mreaves is. Montpelier itself is a bit of a low spot. I think MPV is about 400-500ft higher. Underhill is very snowy but it’s pretty sleepy. I don’t get the idea you want that vibe where everything closes early and you can’t walk anywhere. It’s really a bedroom community for Burlington... but it does get a lot of snow. The CoCoRAHS site’s there are real snowy.
  7. Just wait till it snows and we are analyzing half inch differences in measurements...
  8. I need more IPAs by the river. One thing is it’s not dry up here.
  9. All the dews are north anyway, ha. 84/67 at the ASOS up here. EURO prog got that right with best mixing further south.
  10. It must be the NNE heat and humidity... or the lack of objectiveness. I don’t seem to be the only one affected judging by the past few days on here. Still love you man, ha. Glad it felt like you wanted it to today regardless of the number.
  11. It’s so painful. We’ve now seen it all with using IJD as a representative ob. After years of hearing how useless IJD was compared to NE CT.
  12. 24% at LaGuardia on July 18th is pretty impressive. This isn’t some real arid April air mass.
  13. Yeah you had this all the way... 2-5pm drying in the interior.
  14. Ha, @dendrite, you’re right. The 5-min data is showing 90/29 for only 11% RH. Probably unlikely that CON dew is below freezing, lol. Looks like it shit the bed fast there.
  15. Ahh looked like it made sense going from 87/61 to 90/54 along with a westerly wind increase. At least passed the sniff test. That’s usually a classic spot too for mixing with drying as wind increases. Good to know.
  16. Looks like CON just mixed out too with 90/54. POU has also been well down in the 50s. You can see why the models were mixing out some of the interior official stations like Ginxy said from 2-5pm.
  17. And it goes with temperatures too... I think of growing up, if ALB hit 90F we said it was 90 degrees today. Our backyard under dense canopy probably maxed out at 85-86F. But we go by the station that's on the Local on the 8's or that you see on the 6pm news when they say "Albany hit 90F today." So when that 6pm news also shows a dew point of 63F that's what you start associating in your head. Like oh, that's what a 90/63 day felt like.... when the backyard was probably 85/68. To me it doesn't really matter, but just be consistent. Don't be a clown and pick different variables from different observations. Anyway, some decent mixing today. Can see BDL has hit 91/57 and ORH 84/57 in the 5-min data. Starting to mix out a bit even in some of the PWS.
  18. It's good to see you coming to see the light. Humid day closer to the ocean... drying out nicely in the interior with upper 50s now. It's starting to paint an actual picture of dew points now. You could probably almost plot the boundary by comparing similar stations.
  19. Odd you picked those two. These two probably are more relevant to you. ORH... 58F BDL... 59F
  20. I haven’t said anything about dews in the 50s, lol. I can see the official observations and I know how most on here read them. And I’m all for picking a type of station and going with it, but honestly the “Temps at Tarmac, Dews in the Backyard” stuff gets old when trying to have an objective weather convo. It’s like some mind game to find the observations we want to see.
  21. Dews of 61-62F at ORH and BDL... There’s nothing noteworthy about that in the least. Is this conversation for real? And yes PWS will probably be 5F higher but they always have been since the dawn of time...we judge how we feel by the ASOS readings you used to watch on Local on the 8s on TWC.
  22. I actually find it the other way around here. Most of the PWS temps being lower than the ASOS sites in full afternoon glory.
