  1. First 30s by December? Your diurnal range was 58F to 74F today? Under clear skies and high pressure? Very interesting climo.
  2. It's doing the lord's work for DIT... dews up to 61F now (66/61) in light rain at MVL. Just injected a little bit of moisture to up the dew from 54F into the low-60s. I'm sure as soon as the sun comes out it'll drop back though, ha.
  3. Of course it’s raining out, even during Stein. Downpour came out of no where on the mountain.
  4. We did 40F. I was surprised like you. It cooled off real fast last evening but just sort of stopped. Now closing in on 70F before noon.
  5. Radiators mount up tonight. MVL ASOS just plummeted from 70F this afternoon to 48F at 8pm. Feels like we may get into the 30s given the afternoon dew points. lol at the neighborhood temps… 49F at the neighbors here at the bottom of the hill along the golf course and river… While it’s 59F like 400ft higher. A 10F difference in like a mile up Weeks Hill.
  6. Just like COC, the definition of “furnace” sure does change throughout the year, huh?
  7. It would be fitting to get this awesome late season warmth pattern... then see it just get wrecked by like 5 days of east flow 50s and showers in a very small geographic area. Like, there's something funny about that. 4 days later still going...
  8. Lol, nope....just not ready to see snow right now Ha that makes sense. The new emoji descriptions got me. I do like the red X as just a “Nope” emoji instead of “Disagree.” Also not sure why this quote is showing the whole chain lol.
  9. Are folks disagreeing that’s snow? I’m confused lol. Looked legit to me.
  10. Someone at Jay Peak got video of legit snowflakes yesterday morning. September 8th. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_tT9mGOyUs/?igsh=MXBleDNvbWJ2amk1cw==
  11. Yeah ok, then maybe we aren’t that far off and it’s more semantics. 21 days left, 8 of them hitting 80F doesn’t seem like a tough stretch for the torch spot. I think you hit 80F 2-3 times.
  12. Yeah that’s a good point. Those dry air masses here can boost the daytime highs another 2-3 degrees, albeit briefly, when mixing maxes out in the mountain valleys.
  13. This weather is hard to beat. Think stream flows here have to be some of the lowest of the whole warm season.
  14. Yeah I guess I’ll probably get boxed into calling for cold, lol. There will definitely be 80s at times. On this forum clarifying is important… or it’ll be “PF said it wouldn’t get above 77F anywhere?” My only issue was with “weeks of 80s”… not that it won’t hit 80F for a lot of places. In the means, I think many spots average 70s for highs over the next few weeks… which is still well AN.
  15. I think most folks will largely be in the 70s for highs (can be upper 70s a lot) over the next several weeks… with a few periods of 80s. The torch spots probably have a few days 85+ but a lot of 80-82F mixed with 77-80F in the means. I do not think 80s will be the common denominator for weeks on end for most folks. That doesn’t mean BDL and BOS can’t have 3-4 day stretches. Though it obviously will vary depending on spot. There definitely will be some high end days relative to climate… I think my stance is more there are going to be a good deal of 70s mixed in where most people live over the next three weeks.
  16. Ok, if they are 85-90F we should be hitting 80F. If BTV is 88F, then MVL here will be over 80F. I'd assume if BDL is getting near 90F then you are hitting 80F. It's like a moving target. You keep saying 80s but then 85-90F but then you think you won't be 80F. It's confusing. How many days will you go above 80F going forward?
  17. Ok. We'll see how many days your station exceeds 80F between now and October 15th. You thinking 20+ days of 80F or higher there over the next month based on "weeks of 80s"?
  18. Ha, if it did New England wouldn't have a tree left standing and would have a 50 foot thick glacier snowpack over it.
  19. Who doesn’t want 70s for weeks? Those are the most enjoyable temperatures for doing just about anything. I’ve always thought if we can extend the spring and fall time frame when 70-80F highs are present, you are extending the sweet spot of living comfortably. Of course it’s boring, but it’s nice.
  20. Need a “troll” icon somehow… for the posts that are fishing. Edit: That turd icon is hilarious .
  21. Yeah guess you are right. Normal for BDL is 79F… so 85F is solidly AN. Just noticed looking at the climate sheets that last year it says it was 95/69 today . Edit: Damn… what a stretch last year this time. BDL went 89/92/92/95/89 during this time.
