  1. These two are a match made in heaven. Need a cage match, just lock them in for 90 seconds and see what happens. DotRat is bloodied and out cold on the mat, while Phin limps around holding the cage walls with a Pfizer needle sticking out of his ass-cheek. DotRat sacrificed himself to try and jab Phin.
  2. 72/50 right now and roosters strutting around like the real cocks they are. What a day after an inch of rain last night.
  3. With a side of Randy Marsh playing the politicians.
  4. “Uhm we think you should get the vaccine.” ”I told you several times it’s a matter of principle and my rights. I’m not getting the vaccine. ”Oh so you need an incentive?” ”No I just told you I’m not getting it even if it’s 100% foolproof. I feel comfortable with the risk of COVID and it’s not worth giving in to authority.” ”So you want to be entered into a lottery for a million dollars if you get the vaccine?” ”No, I just told you…” ”But you might lose your ability to go to TGIFriday’s on Friday evening. The days of the week will lose all meaning without a stop at TGIFriday’s to end the work week.” ”I told you I’m not getting…” ”What if we give you a puppy?” ”No god dammit what don’t you…” ”Free money, I’ll give you money.” ”No I’m not getting it even if you give me ten thousand dollars.” ”What about ten thousand and one dollars?”
  5. This whole thing is like a South Park episode where neither side understands the other and they just get more and more ridiculous.
  6. It goes both ways and it’s both disturbing as a way to say “told ya so!” Vaccinated love pointing out unvaxxed who are sick or dying… meanwhile the unvaccinated also come off as getting pleasure from hearing vaccinated folks are getting sick and almost cheer for vaccine complications. Both sides using people’s health to prove their points…almost gleefully.
  7. It’s a vibe, too. In the mountains, the cool air just hits differently, like it’s expected on those dry dew point days. Cool nights and warm days with large swings happen no matter what season.
  8. I still remember back in like junior high when someone told me what those were called... like huh? A “wife beater”? Yeah I mean, it makes sense. Ha, it's hilarious...that was just the way it was. If you ever saw a COPS episode for domestic violence back then, every single one of the suspects were filmed with that type of undershirt. Usually in like a humid Florida trailer park .
  9. Shorts and hoodie for life. Flip flops occasionally. Should wear them more, very easy and low maintenance.
  10. Manchester VT area getting another 0.8-1.4" so far. What a wet few days. Took the dog out and we are 0.47" so far. Best is by far south and east again.
  11. The vast majority are with you on that. And been living our lives. COVID goes away quick when you just go about your day, ha. If it wasn’t for this thread to keep us informed… there’s life happening.
  12. Wiz watching covered bridges and chairlifts float by in Hartford.
  13. Nice that’s about what I figured. Waterway crosses under road, gets overrun or blocked, water now goes down road as new River bed. Looks like a great flash flood damage set up on that topo map.
  14. Normally there is a drainage that gets diverted or overwhelmed. Culvert clogged with logs, trees, debris or just too much water… I don’t know but my bet is uphill there a small waterway just got absolutely overrun so the water looked for the next path of least resistance and went down the road, eating it up over the course of like 2-3 hours. Flash flooding in terrain has to be one of the most powerful damaging weather phenomenon. That stuff is crazy.
  15. Yeah I don’t pay attention to any of it outside this thread but I don’t doubt it, there’s obviously a reason to be defensive. I just don’t know why everyone wants to blame each other like functioning in society is a team sport. And the more people blame each other the more the two sides dig in. It goes no where.
  16. It was definitely for the Berlin moms.
  17. And the blame game goes ‘round and ‘round again.
  18. From the flash flooding the other night in Manchester, VT… that road took a beating.
  19. This is an experience that covers a very large part of the nation. Life is normal. Even if someone else wants to wear a mask, who cares? They’ve been doing it in Asia for a while. Human evolution to keep protecting oneself. They may have medical reasons for it too. But if you don’t have to, it’s no different than them wearing a different kind of shirt. You just go about your business and they go about theirs.
  20. Just move your sensor closer to your lawn. Keep it just above the grass blades. The dew point can be whatever you want it to be.
  21. Americans need to go back to the time before 24/7 news, the constant need for drama, opinions galore at the fingertip. We should turn it all off. Go about your day. You’d never know what was going on outside your bubble, which is all that really matters. If you missed the morning news at 6am or the evening national news, you had no idea what was going on and “ignorance is bliss” has some positives. You just lived.
  22. Surely with these temps you must be dressed head to toe in flannel and have several blankets over you too? Maybe a portable heater in order to survive on a porch tonight?
