  1. GFS doesn’t look like much in the way of frozen sans the favored areas. ETA 32 and rain will likely just result in glazed trees.
  2. Funny.....cwg and their cya forecasts. And then they'll be among the first to take a dig at nws for busting.
  3. Yeah, 850s bump north into PA but then drop back a bit w the arrival of heavier precip. Starting to key in on at least some front end frozen before light rain.
  4. ^^^that was amusing. Reminds me of scenes from shows where everyone is freaking the f out and there's one random dude standing in the middle still calmly explaining his thoughts.
  5. Noticeably colder than the gfs. Obvs not as whacked out deep like the GFS was.
  6. GFS showing 2.5"+ qpf for most. thru the end of next week.
  7. Let’s not forget a perfect circle. Tool is great, but a perfect circle also had some good stuff.
  8. Barely double digits is barely acceptable. Who knew.
  9. Geesh....gfs swings are too wild to keep up with. SC to NC to VA and just keeps moving north. Lets pause movement for a few days.
  10. Still waiting on a character limit for posts. One of these days....
  11. We excel at being organized. So should we use the January storm threat, January LR, or Jan 25th thread?
  12. Yeah, but you get the sense that the mood is better just bc there's something to track.
  13. Lol. We are so jaded. Even snow showers seems like a monumental feat.
  14. Really enjoy the two long range threads and, weather will seems fun.
  15. Current conditions on 219 just southwest of Thomas.
  16. Was nice to get a winter fix yesterday. Highly recommended for all the snow starved crazies on here
  17. Love your optimism, but 3k literally has like 2 specks of blue on the map east of the Allegheny front. This is like saying one of us has a chance of winning the lotto tonight
  18. The lack of any real arctic area over a large chunk of the L48 has been something else this winter. No change in sight on the LR GFS heading into February.
  19. Between this weekend and next, the ski areas are having a really nice stretch. I also imagine they’ll be plenty busy Wednesday w many in dc being off due to inauguration. whitegrass showing a depth of 15” at their 4300’ stake. And, yes, that’s all natural as they don’t make snow there.
  20. Blackwater was nice and wintry today.
