Nice to see the Os secure a closer with Helsley. Struggled coming down the stretch last year, but so did the rest of the Mets. With the Cardinals, he had 103 saves in 121 chances the last 4 seasons. Now get some starters!!

Interesting trade for the Os. Dropping injury prone Grayson for an outfielder, Taylor Ward, with power. Ward has 61 HRs and 178 RBIs in the last two seasons. Meanwhile, Grayson hasn’t pitched since July 2024. One can hope this means the Os will be aggressive with getting pitching help.

Are they selling bottles of firebeast? I thought it was just their “vintage pour” today. If you like something like a dessert stout, you will like cupped. I got 2 bottles of that the day it was released…..soooo good.

deep winter setting in up in NNE. This mornings webcam view from Wildcat Ski area looking across at the east facing on KMWN where they’ve already received over 14” this month.

A low of 11 at Canaan NWR. A 20+ degree difference from the reporting station on the nearby cabin mountain ridge.
