  1. Increasing clouds and another day with minimal snow melt. These weeks with wall to wall snow cover are the best.
  2. Imagine writing that the coach is conservative when the game was lost on a play where the QB was being aggressive and pushing the ball downfield and threw back over the middle of the field late in the 4th qtr with less than a minute left in the game resulting in a killer INT. Dude…please stop. You’re way out of your element here. Go lecture someone else.
  3. So they will lose to the teams that out resource PSU and because of that, Franklin is a loser. You need to sit this one out. You love to argue and debate with everyone on this board and you lack self awareness to step aside when you are wrong. Please just let this one go.
  4. This goes far beyond just Franklin on game day. He’s compared to schools like OSU, Bama, Mich, etc that up until recently, had far greater commitment to winning regardless of expense and had resources at their disposal that Franklin couldn’t even touch. The inner dynamics at PSU have been a mess since the scandal. Slowly but surely Franklin and his camp have been able to turn the tide and gain more support for improving things like recruiting budget, NIL budget, facilities renovations, etc. I can write with 1000% confidence based on very reliable info that the dude has put everything into fighting for more with pushback from the old guard admin and old guard boosters that are still bitter about things that went down up there more than a decade ago. Now, Franklin is far from perfect and does deserve blame for some of the more high profile loses they’ve taken in recent years, but someone (not you) to say the guy is a loser is absurd. PSU is top 10 in both wins and winning percentage amongst P4 schools in the last decade. And he’s now taken them to 2 rose bowls, 2 fiesta bowls, a cotton bowl, peach bowl and made it to the CFP semifinal all in the last 9 seasons. Is he Nick Saban or Kirby Smart? F no. But Bama and Georgia also throw everything they have into winning. PSU has not until very recently.
  5. They dropped 18 degrees between 240am and 540am. Their station doesn’t appear to report wind, so I’m assuming the wind finally dropped and they tanked.
  6. You have written a lot of really dumb things on this board in recent years and this is right up there at the top. You should stick to reminding everyone on this sub about how you average more snow than everyone else east of the apps.
  7. Kids can’t make it to school, but they sure as hell can get there to go sledding at the local school sledding hill. And afterwards their parents take them for a Starbucks run. But first thing in the morning it’s totally unsafe to leave for actual school.
  8. Show off. Put that deck away.
  9. Lunch hour headline on wbal…..frigid temps expected for ravens game. when did we become so soft? It’s an outdoor game in January. This has been happening since the dawn of professional football. I’m pretty sure folks in attendance will survive. End rant.
  10. Canaan now at 80.8” on the season and 33.3” for the month. White grass reporting a 25” depth at 4300’.
  11. 22. 3 degree drop in the last few hours as the wind dropped.
  12. Northers just need to start scheduling winter vacations to st michaels now. It’s no longer just a summer destination.
  13. 1/3/25: .5” 1/6/25: 7.5” Season total: 8.0”
  14. I pictured a more dramatic skyline for the Maryland alps. Don’t forget to chain up.
  15. HH time. PS. This is a snow ob.
  16. Banter but whatevs it’s my thread. School systems have become very predictable. If it’s 4”+ and doesn’t immediately melt, 2 days off is a good bet these days for the central MD and NoVA crews.
  17. HRRR still has a couple hours of light snow with the ULL this evening and a general .5-1” additional of snow. If nothing else, will freshen up the shoveled areas.
  18. I’ve been sitting under that narrow band in aa co for seemingly the last few hours. It just doesn’t want to stop snowing.
  19. Back to mod snow. Hoping to reach 8” between this band and the ULL.
  20. Over time, being north and west pays off more often than not. Having spent a decade living about 10 minutes north of mappy, more often than not, I received more snow on average than those on the wrong side of the fall line. Especially in marginal situations and with coastals.
  21. Still coming down. Early plowing and shoveling erased.
  22. Congrats everyone! These types of days make this sub so great.
