FWIW, HRRR still showing a lull before backend precip moves through late afternoon and finally exiting the area in the 02-04Z timeframe.

We go through this every season. Folks have visions of high ratio fluff, but it takes perfect conditions to pull off. It’s never easy and it’s not all about surface temps like so many believe.

With two visits to Canaan in the coming weeks, I’m really hoping this holds. Would be nice to get a mostly full month of winter for a change.

Highly recommend visiting nearby Douglas falls in the snow. Takes a little more effort to get to, but it’s every bit as beautiful as the main attraction at blackwater.
