We are close to getting some events to work out. I've certainly seen worse. Might be a NNE deal.

NAm and GFS BUFKIT do have good lift in the DGZ so there is that. But it's also fighting dry air near 850. Tough call.

Not sure what to make of things going forward. It's an ugly Pacific on the EPS, but like I said yesterday...we sort of walk the line between just rainer after rainer, or enough cold for snow.

IJD looked to have temp issues earlier. They were like coldest in New England.

There will be a narrow ribbon of good fronto. Whether that is progressive or hangs around for 6+ hours remains to be seen.

The thing Wednesday is pressing SE as it tries to generate precip. That’s usually not good for bigger amounts. It tends to indicate CAA and drier air issues may occur. Something to keep in mind. It could come back juicier, but I’d still a little conservative.

Boy we ride the line as we approach Christmas on the ensemble. It’s not 2011, but it needs a little help. The irony is that it may be cold enough to support a few wintry deals. It’s close.

I didn’t look that deep, but it looks like your classic CAA with drying and subsidence at that level. Sometimes you can offset that if you can get big lift above it, but in general not a great thing to have NW winds at 850 when trying to snow. Not impossible though. btw, message me your question you had the other day.

Ukie looks like it would be going good at 12z Wednesday. Looks like a good thermal packing at 850.
