    It’s definitely a bit Nina like. Very similar to last year. It’s not like there is no shortage of cool weather, it just won’t be here for awhile.

    Ha, yeah. Fake snow. The classic bar mistake. You enjoy it as it happens and then the morning after is like WTF?

    Sometimes you get the higher vis fluff stuff where 1SM is exactly that.

    Sometimes I have to think about visibility when figuring this out. Like 1/4SM is at least 1-2/hr etc. It’s not easy. If you clear an area, it either blows off the board or blows in the area you cleared out.

    It was a great storm. Lots of damage south of Boston where it was wet. This area had a solid 20-22”. Much less just SE of here.

    That part sucks. I wish we could even it out more. We joke, but I don’t cheer for anyone to get screwed. Well maybe Kevin.

    It definitely effects snow reports. Sometimes windy areas near the coast aren’t getting less snow, it’s just wind compacted a bit. You see that a lot in he biggies. The snow seems dense despite it not being wet. It’s just packed down good.

    Wind or no wind, we have multiple ways of doing it and it’s all recorded. It’s not homogeneous.

    I’ve sort of made peace with snow measurements not being perfect. It’s the least accurate ob for a type of weather phenomenon or variable we have.

    I wonder if The Graupler will post this winter. He lives near me but seems to get very angry when it snows.

    I’d say if storm is under a foot your measurements are pretty good. But when they get bigger, you get a little excited and the amounts may be slightly higher than actuality.

    Not sure why people want to blow their stuff on October cold anyways.

    He’s also friends with my manager so it was an excuse for him to get beers lol. Yeah we talked about Jay Peak too. He acknowledges their snow, but was nice to hear him say they can be a little inflated lol. He said your measurements are legit. I laughed and said he is one of the few guys I would trust in that industry.
