That was a cool event. It took awhile to get the better snow growth here but once it did we got 18 plus in 6 hours! We ended up with just a shade under two feet. The only bummer about 2/13 was that it happened at night
That picture with the sun through the cloud canopy and deep snow cover is just beyond words to me. That is about as beautiful a shot of deep New England winter that I have ever seen.
Looks like about 3 here in the heart of death valley. Light snow/poor growth.
About what I expected for here but I am surprised southern CT didn't do better. I really thought it would really rip down there and for longer
Interesting Westfield has had a few flurries for over an hour... sometimes there's big differences from there to here...although more often magnified in marginal events
Nice Teflon crust for the snow to accumulate on. The amount of ice underneath the snow afterwards is a bit concerning though. Could be tough walking around for a few days.
The thump was just a gentle tap ...one inch
Nice crust on it and plenty of slip sliding for the walking folk.
All those who forecasted meh for a decent portion of the area....well done!
Maybe I will take a ride to Greenfield to see deep winter
That's an unbelievable stretch of winter weather. That is something I would draw up in my basement. I know they have a lot of lousy winters down that way but when things go right down there the results can be incredible.
