  1. We just had a nice burst. It only lasted about 15 minutes but all road surfaces became snow covered and slippery and the temperature tanked to 31f. Elevated surfaces have up to an inch of accumulation. This should be pretty big in a few favored places anyway.
  2. Took the dog out around 3am and it was steady light snow with the grass and car tops frosted but now its just mostly cloudy and melted but still was cool to see on 4/11
  3. Well who knew the heaviest snow of the season, if only for a few minutes, would fall on April 8 th.....
  4. Some nice sleet mixed with the rain....38
  5. Who needs that kind of excitement
  6. B-....seasonably chilly and the snow and ice we did get stuck around for awhile. Logged 31 days snow cover here in death valley for only 22 inches. A handful of very cold mornings. Once again way below normal in snowfall with no storm exceeding 4 inches.
  7. Love that song. I hear it every weekend on 104.1 90s alt rock rewind.....April is usually okay in the valley here. Lots of downslope dandys.
  8. A few flurries. At least I can say I saw snow flakes on 3/24/25
  9. Those poor people down south. The southeast tornadoes almost take on demonic characteristics. Terrain issues, rain wrapped, often nocturnal and so often hit folks who have so little to begin with . May God watch over those folks.
  10. Agree 100 percent man. For some strange reason I didn't think they'd mess with weather.
  11. Yeah its that April weather you guys love so much this morning. Some crazy strong wording regarding the TOR/SVR forecast mentioning F4 and possibly stronger?? Wow
  12. It seemed like it sleeted forever in that event. I still had a solid foot where I lived on the Bristol/Farmington line. If it had really developed like earlier runs showed and buried the northern mid Atlantic through southern and South Central New England it would have been historic
  13. Still holding out hope for a late winter/early spring miracle before I put a final grade on the winter.
  14. 9.6...oops just noticed it was specific....well anyways the only thing that kept it from a 10 was just a little too much south wind and no beautiful cirrus clouds to mix with the sun for a truly beautiful sky
  15. Looks boring for the next week but Tip was right about the warmer signal almost a week and a half ago. Was hoping for another modest measurable event but am glad the ice is gone.
  16. I am the last person to find wind events, especially post frontal interesting but since early afternoon yesterday its been WINDY!! Last night around ten pm we had to have gusts over 50, perhaps threatening sixty and not just one but numerous. This morning again some house shakers. Scattered snow flurries and colder makes it feel like a beautiful March day.
  17. Oh good grief...the memories lol....that Sunday night I knew something was wrong when it changed to ip after an inch or so
  18. Make that waist deep in some places up there lol
  19. 20 degrees with a -4 dp and NW 20-30 mph and still some snow/ice on the ground on 3/2 is kind of wintry.
  20. This thread is hilarious today ....who needs snow lol
  21. And some places just north of the city had significantly less. If I remember correctly there was a thing band of heavy snow right through the southern half of the city in the early stages of the storm.
  22. The only thing memorable about that storm back here was temps in the afternoon were frigid in the low teens and it was pretty windy. Snowed 12 hours to get about four inches lol
  23. Do you remember if any of those big storms were forecast? I know weather tech was more primitive but they often had an idea that it might snow.
