  1. I'm inclined to agree with you regarding snow fall. One more big storm and a few more small to mid size events could really make this a very special winter in Southern New England. This week looks pretty warm the entirety into next weekend and by that I mean upper 30s to mid 40s for daytime highs and liquid precipitation
  2. I can still hear the sleet against the windows in my mother's basement that Sunday night . I'll save my thoughts on that Monday for the real anniversary.
  3. I remember just watching TWC and seeing the radar just exploding south of long island and off jersey. I lived in Bristol CT at the time and it was awesome. Snow instantly moderate to heavy with decent growth the whole storm. Some very heavy thunder snow with frequent lightning later in the evening. 18-19 inches but anyone doing six hour measurements would have had 20 or more. It was a denser snow too with temps in the upper 20s/30 degrees. We had a six to nine inch glacier already on the ground from past events so otg totals were 24 to 28 inches and that was deeper than any snowpack I had in Jan of 96 after that big one (21-24 otg, 15-17 storm).
  4. I feel like this has been so difficult even in the slightly better winters. I'm still optimistic we will get there. I just wonder if the long-term average is really closer to low to mid 40s rather than 50 inches.
  5. Supposedly I average 50 inches a year Didn't hit that in 19-20 with the big early season storm and didn't hit that in the 17-18 winter even with the March and April that everyone goes bananas over but it really was lousy here in death valley I have not been over 50 inches since 2014-2015. I think the last season around 50 inches was ,2016-2017 primarily due to two good size events....one in February and one in March.
  6. 2.5 Fri/Sat and .3 late last night 37.2 on the season
  7. It was coming down good when I went to bed but we only have a quarter to perhaps a half inch at most
  8. Yup agreed 2011 was made for Central and central/Northern CT. I was missing my home turf in Bristol for that one. We did fine here in Springfield with 18-19 but it was much more dramatic with rates and Thunder down there
  9. Lol that's Kevin's snowed for days and days out East
  10. Bid 31 and its not even mid February.....I haven't seen those kind of readings since February 2015!
  11. Don't do it for something that pedestrian. It can get way way way worse.
  12. Omg you're exhausting. Suck it up. Its not a huge area that got the big totals. You don't live in that bad an area overall man.
  13. Another remarkable winter day all across the area. Snow bitter cold wind on top of deep snow from prior events weeks prior. Milky overcast with dim sunshine in some places that have stopped or are soon to stop snowing. Its only February 7th and I only need about ten inches of snow for the yearly average. Compared to recent winters that's almost hard to fathom.
  14. I definitely think Boston is in for some fun this afternoon
  15. The northern end of Coxes Ledge getting crushed!!
  16. Gentle light snow...coating... Been snowing since before 11 pm
