Where the hell did this come from???
This Afternoon
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 4pm and 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Light southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
So my grand total for today's stormy environment?
0.00"
Not one drop. The pre frontal stuff hit south of Quakertown. Round one hit south of Allentown. This last round missed to the north, getting the Scranton area.
Need to get it north of I-78 as well. I'd love to see the big stuff fire along and just east of the Susquehanna (maybe east of Pillow, too) between 80 and 78 and then push east.
I wish the the enhanced zone was centered over I-81 as opposed to I-95. We're still in a good area, but we're more in the formation zone as opposed to the maturity zone that Allentown and points east appear to be.
Yeah. I'm a go big or go home weather guy. Give me a cane, a blizzard, a severe storm, or flooding rains. I hate the mundane.
Send that up to Tamaqua please...
Call me strange, but I wish that flood risk was expanded east. All this miserable wetness, light rain, drizzle, mist, and gloominess and nothing even remotely remarkable to show for it.
Nice!
I actually got "volunteered" to work today. Full timers don't work weekends unless they choose to, but since today is Father's Day, at least a couple of part timers didn't want to come out. If we're short on manpower, we have to cover it, and today was my assigned day.
Nice washout of a day for my cousin-in-law's daughter's college graduation party. On a normal June day it would be a pool and backyard event, but I kind of doubt it today. Nothing worse than being relegated to the indoors (probably garage) on what should be a fun, outdoor event.
