    You nailed it for down there. Up here you were a little low, but still better than most others, including the NWS. Not sure how we ended up getting into the same numbers that were forecasted for SEPA. Maybe slower storm movement, stronger development, more northerly track? Who knows, but it was definitely an overachiever north of the Blue Mountain.

    So, last night, with the evening forecast, we didn't even have an advisory here in Schuylkill County. Truth is we ended up close to meeting warning criteria. Major bust with most of the forecasts yesterday.

    So it appears that I finished up with 5.5" with my unofficial sidewalk measurement. Definitely an overachiever here. I captured WGAL's forecast map from yesterday, and they had me at C-1 and CTP had me at 1-2. As for quitting drinking, the thing I appreciate the most is not waking up with a hangover headache the next morning.

    5am and I wake up to this! Just a bit more than any forecast for my backyard. Quite the over performer. The back edge is close, but may sneak out another quarter to half inch as it's still snowing lightly here.

    So I see that CTP finally hoisted an advisory for Schuylkill County and upped accumulations to 2-4 inches. Below is the original forecast which, unless it were to stop snowing now, has already busted. Tonight Snow showers, mainly before 3am. Low around 18. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

    It's hard to measure taking a pic of a tape measure with a cell phone, but unofficially it looks like 2.25" now.

    Not sure if you guys will believe it or not, but I have 1.5" of fluff on the sidewalk in my backyard already.

    Getting better rates and bigger flakes now. Temp down to 29.8 degrees.

    Same here. Dusting on anything that's not been treated from the past storms, but the roads are trying to cave with a temp of 30.4 degrees.

    Light snow started here in Tamaqua at 4:45pm just as I was parking the car at the restaurant.

    Looks like the Blue Mountain is going to be the cutoff between a good plowable snow southeast, and more of a nuisance variety one on the northern side.

    Latest HRRR and RAP deliver the goods south of I-81 and the Blue Mountain. Solid 3-6 York, Lancaster, SE Lebanon, Berks, Lehigh and Northampton.

    I agree. Most short term guidance has upped the ante for both counties.

    That's the best for stickage. Even at temps above 25 degrees mid afternoon I've noticed melting on roads and sidewalks unless the rates are good.

    Thanks. She still gets around, but has regressed from having to use a cane to using a walker.

    That's good. Tonight is our company Christmas party and any snow before 10 or 11 here will not be good for my wife and her deteriorating mobility issues.

    CTP busted high with my forecast low. They said 16. At 3:00am I dropped down to 10.8

    Honestly, I think only two of us will enjoy the warmer weather...lol

    I don't want "warm", just normal. My job gets difficult and stressful when we get Arctic cold.
