Got down to -1 at 10:25 last night, but then rose back up to our current +5 degrees shortly thereafter.

I've been praying to the one above even mother nature, but I've not had any luck. I just want normal. Low/mid 30's highs and 20 or so lows.

I'm sooty, but this kind of cold, for this kind of duration is too much for me. It'd be nice to get a couple of days break every so often before a reload.

Unless it comes later, with the wind element along with the heavy snow, I can't figure out how Norfolk/Virginia Beach doesn't have a Blizzard Warning for this storm... ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM SATURDAY TO 7 PM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 12 inches expected with locally higher amounts possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 to 60 mph. Anyway, locally, it's not nearly as cold as what was expected. I'm sitting at +4 this morning.

This winter IS kicking MY ass. I had to call off work today because I couldn't stay off the toilet. As such, I'm physically drained. I don't know if I caught a bug, or if depression, anxiety, and stress made sick. I really wish we'd get a mild break again. This relentless dumping of arctic air into the east (along with a few non weather related issues) is really messing with me.

Which begs the question. Why does there almost always seem to be a kicker that pushes the storm out nearly every time we get a chance at a coast hugging Miller A?

Seems like this is what we'd want. Just slight ticks west each run. It might work out that it'll be in the sweet spot by game time. I know from past experience that I don't want to be in the bullseye at this point in time.

Up to 120 on the 06z GFS looked good, as if it might crawl the coast, but then then it stalls off the Carolinas and then goes northeast and out to sea.

I've got mixed emotions on this weekend. One side of me says, "enough, I'm tired of all this cold and snow", and the other side says, "bring it. Lets go for some records."

Starting to get some precipitation again. Thought it would be snow, but it's still sleet.

Does that comma head move east or lift northeast. Is there a chance I see some action out of it, or is the dryslot it for us in east?

As of 7:30 pm, a total of 11.75" of snow and sleet fell here today. Decent, but disappointed. Sitting in the dryslot with hardly anything falling. Hopefully the 1-3 that CTP is saying materializes later.

Believe it or not, I say bring it. After today let's get historical. Let's put a solid 4ft snowpack on the ground. I've never seen it and now kind of want to.

I am now. I thought when we flipped back to snow, the coastal was taking over and the upper levels were crashing. Turns out it was only temporary. Question is, do we flip back to snow or are we stuck with sleet until the end?

For what it's worth, the sleet/snow just about shut off completely here. Must be under a brief (hopefully) dry area.

See. I asked the same question earlier and I got crickets. But I was also contemplating cleaning my measuring area, and thought maybe someone would give me a recommendation.

I'm in a battleground area where it doesn't fully flip, but we do at times go 80/20 sleet. We've been back and forth for a few hours now. It's just enough to probably knock off a couple to few inches from the final tally.

10.5" here. Up until 15 minutes ago it was mostly snow, but now is mostly sleet again. I do have to ask, though, why are my questions being ignored?
