  1. i had the same thing going on. i stabbed a driveway marker in a few spots to see if it would help it drain out. it did not, but that was probably because it hit what i am pretty sure is ice about 6-8" down. no wonder it can't drain.
  2. saw a few pellets at work in Cambridge at around 8:30 this AM. was weird, since it didn't feel very cold out.
  3. the downside with rocks is inevitable weed growth. I am sure you put a barrier underneath it, but weeds, especially crabgrass don’t need much sand/dirt/soil to grow. So with rocks you have to constantly pull weeds and/or spray them with chemicals. mulch itself acts as a weed barrier, assuming you put down a heavy layer. I agree that they look good at first though
  4. make sure you have a solid plan for watering that grass seed, otherwise it will be a waste of time and money.
  5. yeah, it usually takes about 0.25" of rain for that to happen.
  6. without being able to totally zero in on that location, the area right around it is over 2k feet elevation.
  7. Wind blew over my gas grill, and moved it 5 or 6 feet. Musta been a bit breezy.
  8. those of us with outdoor plans tomorrow are already disappointed
  9. nice! I might be going for the x370 for the hydraulic lift and power steering
  10. what model are you thinking about? i have an older LA1xx series tractor. it has been great, but am ready to upgrade to an X3xx series
  11. uh, you might want to leave super early, or not at all. WMUR just reported 90 minute drive time i-93 from Manchester to Boston. that is going to be a miserable drive for you
  12. you. just. jackpotted the “meh, woe is me act” is getting quite tired
  13. up in CON for an appointment, 0.0000000” here, although I might have seen a flake or 2 an hour ago. could very well have been someone’s dandruff flying in the wind though
  14. who is performing the measurement on the whale's backside?
  15. knotweed is the devil's spawn. it is very dificult to dig up and get all the roots. if you don't get all the roots, it will come right back. i haven't had to deal with it, but have heard that you chop the stalk down to 6-12", pour straight undiluted round-up into the hollow core. i guess it works pretty well
  16. Thanks mpm! buddy I ride with has the 900 Ace, seems like a great motor. We’ll see what the insurance company gives me. but might have to wait until the fall.
  17. that sounds exactly like my little incident aside from the age of the sled. ‘09 Ski Doo Renegade 600 e-tec. Just hit 4K miles. I think I was going about 10 also. guess I’ll be shopping for a new machine, hoping to get a 900 Ace next.
  18. no question. fortunately I was just getting going after a stop, so I wasn’t going very fast
  19. nothing serious, bumps and bruises. Hit a tree when right ski wandered off trail into powder and couldn’t recover. Hit tree between right ski and front bumper, but hit it hard enough to twist tunnel. I thought I got lucky and got away with having to replace both upper and lower a-arms, but I guess not. Funny thing is, did another 350 miles after the crash with no probs. Injury wise, right arm hit the tree as I went over and through the windshield, so that took the brunt of it. Deep bone bruise, that’s it though. No head injury, so I got that going for me.
  20. Totaled my snowmobile last week. Expect deep, heavy snow now that I don’t have a sled.
  21. thank you for that stellar analysis of the February pattern.
